this same thing happened to me, he was so obsessed stalking me and sending threats, cuz he "loved me"...I got so terrified, my home security password he unlocked, luckily i was at work when arrived I found the door unlocked then I called the cops and asked to check cctv at apartment's corridor, we saw, he was there, so I moved from apartment and even from phone and number to take care to not share too much info about life on social media
