I have been visiting this area for the last 15+ Years as my parents moved here a long time ago and have tried all the pubs and resturants in the arear many times but have always stayed in the abby.
Over the years it has had the same owners witch are very friendly and welcoming and loyal to there customers.
When my mum passed awar thay even paid for all the food for 40 people
for her wake witch was exceptional loyalty and could not thank them enough.
In this area beeing one of the few pub,s even though being irish pour spanish mesures alot of pubs you ask for a vodka you get a english measure not here you get a quadruple.
And the prices are very good over 15 years the price of a pint has gone up from 2.20 Euroes to 2.80 euros the cheepist pint in engand is around £5 quid.
There is a wide variaty of entertainment witch normally starts aroud 9pm from music to verious acts and entertainment for all ages.
It says thay close at 3.30am but i have known them to stay open much later.
There is a childs play area within the tavern with slides swings and verious obsticles.
There is live football world cups F1gp cricket and all major sporting events that show different sporting events simultaneously on 10 diffrent T.V,s
Over Three floors.
There is food server form the bar or in the resturant and there is also a take away facility all at reasonably priced and of very good quality.
This is my spanish local and is better than any engish pud i have ever called a local.
