My SP-404 MK2 work flow(after two weeks)
Yo this is a quick video on how I navigate making beats on the sp404mk2 it’s a sick little device I’ve had it for two weeks at this point and have made 17 beats on it so far, this I just my rudimentary understanding and workflow that got me started and I’m still learning more and more, I haven’t picked up the manual once so don’t expect me to be a guru just a dude making beats #makingbeats #sp404mk2 #beatmaking #beats #boombap #beatmaker #sp404 #sp404mkii

Hey man, nice flow. Im about the same stage with this thing, but never reall sat down properly with it. Started watching the "In 5 minutes" shorts by Near Tao, and SP Vid\ is always solid too. Picked up a couple of tricks here too. Keep at it bruv.

appreciate it bro yea i just deep dived and made a 10 beat tape on it as soon as i got it so i learned fast

I've had this thing for a couple weeks now and still find it very unintuitive. I've used a bunch of roland synths and grooveboxes and most of elektron's gear and this is way far removed from anything ive used before. i printed out the shortcut sheets so maybe that will help.
How did you erase that sample chop recording so you could start over?

Just used delete function or if you mean the chops then touch the encoder knob and delete all current marks and then auto mark
Has the 4.04 update changed your workflow ?

Nah I got it on April 3rd and updated it the next day so I’ve only worked on the 4.04 update, it does crash sometimes from a known bug on resample but I’m sure they’ll fix it
