I am thinking of swapping to "smaller" prime lenses for video work, rather than lugging around the 24-70mm. Would you recommend the GM lenses over their 1.8 counterparts (24, 35, 50, 85)?

The 24mm f1.8 samyang is pretty much on par with the 24mm GM, personally I'm not a fan of samyang lenses but the new Samyang 24mm is amazing 📷🔥

Vu, great videos . no BS. right to the point . I like them a lot, question for you., now that the there is a much lighter and apparently much better 70-200 GM II , would you still go fro the Tamron 70-180 + Sigma 85 1.4 ( price wise differential would not be too much ...about 400), one more question, your videos are the best I've seen, I like the color ...do you have any youtube video on how you do your commercial videos ??.....that is an area that I want to start getting into now

LOL…I finally stopped chuckling to be able to comment! Thanks for your GM overview! Very helpful. My 24-70 is getting really expensive having to send it in for repair as the contacts aren’t contacting anymore. Not happy. Wait, wait, chuckles starting again!

I’m on the fence too. I’m in position to purchase a 70-200 GM II but I could replace my 55 Zeiss instead. I’m not sure which way I’ll go.

I just got 24-70 art and they have fixed the dust issue now. So I would recommend that over 28-70 because of better optics.

@@nVuFilms there is FF hyper and is way too expensive. I think In video you can get 90% there on APSC if you still shoot in 1080p, as many do. Maybe you could do a douche video on this.

Everytime you say G-Master, I was expecting the exaggerated "G-Maser" in Vietnamese accent.

lol i love being a sony douche bag :D - fact is, if you're making money and running a business/writing expenses off, there is almost no reason to skim out - the GM lenses are incomparable when it comes to checking all the boxes.
