Love the iPad control center! I’m looking for all in 1 solutions like that, but haven’t decided yet. And yes smart zebra shades are great but pricey, I went through the same thing with researching and they’re not perfect. Canada isn’t as good for selection 😒. Great video

@@MattNVZION Got the smart motor from Amazon separately, and ordered blinds from Blinds galore, it was the only way to make it work with my large size. 😅

Not sure if its already been said but the reason why the dyson fan remote wont hold is becuase you are putting it on upside down. it is meant to fit to curve at the top of the fan. other than that, great video. will be using a few of these ideas for my smart home!

very nice video. i noticed your ring alarm is hooked up to a monitor or led tv? would you have a tutorial on how to set this up in order for me to be able to view the cameras on 1 screen? Also i didn’t notice if you have a sliding patio door. Just wondering if you also installed a Graywind vertical blinds? Thinking of getting a smart vertical blinds for my sliding patio door.

Hey sorry I missed this! The Ring alarm is not hooked up the monitor. The monitor is actually showing a separate surveillance camera system. Ring is only viewable via the app or on a compatible device like an Amazon Echo.

Super clean setup but seems very very expensive setup.

Great video! Could you go a little bit further into detail about how you set your tv up to power on/off? I have a hisense roku tv paired with an apple tv. The new siri remote will power on both devices simultaneously, but wont power off the roku tv. Id like to power them both on/off as well using voice commands too if possible.

Hi, does your TV offer HDMI-CEC, I'm pretty sure it does. It's odd that you are able to power on the tv but not turn it off. Have you double check the Apple TV settings? Also to power them on and off, I utilize iOS Shortcuts. It isn't complex but you have to enable the correct options.

I think it was from Home Depot.

For the Dyson air purifier try flipping that remote so that the buttons are facing down. It took me a while to learn that. The magnet should work better Lol

Thanks! Well I now have wood floors, and my Klipsch setup has been replaced with the Sonos Arc, sub and 2x SL Ones. I also upgraded my wired surveillance to the Reolink 4K system, and mounted a 15-inch Echo Show underneath the surveillance monitor. Other than that, no other major changes 😅

Great context. Are you concerned of the Roomba hitting the floor speakers ? I ask because I have thinking of purchasing the Roomba mode blocks. Thoughts ?

So it does hit them but the Roomba has a sensor so it slows down when it approaches an object. I actually don’t have the Roomba anymore, switched to a Shark with laser navigation.

Awesome home set up and great tech. Curious to know how you set the motion detection on your ring indoor camera to trigger the LED lights in your office on. Are you powering the LED lights using a smart plug and the ring cam as a trigger through IFTTT?

I’m using the Alexa app and Alexa compatible lighting. I then created a routine within the Alexa app and since Ring is owned by Amazon now, it worked out perfectly.

I didn’t know at first either but I’m always poking around to find new features on the Alexa app and discovered the motion trigger, you can do so much with it!

Do you mind if I ask what you do for a living? Just a content creator? Your smart home is on 10. I've been at it since 2018, and went with Google & smartthings automations. But I'm definitely jealous at your smart home. Well done my friend. I'm now a new subscriber. 👍🏾

Thanks Lester! Creating content is just a side gig but I do have a small business selling used/refurbished enterprise hardware. I used to use Wink and everything was zwave but then Wink went down the drain so I replaced everything with wifi components. Not ideal but they've been working solid for a few years.

Hey, the shades are still working great. They are not hardwired but they are rechargeable and the battery lasts roughly 4-6 months for me. They’ll start beeping when the battery needs to be recharged.

The Dyson fan remote probably falls off all the time because you need to have the remote's buttons face downwards instead of facing the ceiling

What an awesome system. One question, when you cut the power to the bedroom camera, don’t you have to reconnect it (edit: to WiFi) when you put power back to it, or does it reconnect itself?
