wait, wait, wait. you hit us with the ". . .showering with your plants!-PLATONICALLY-welluh who am I to judge? *mini wheeze*" right off the bat. bless you haha
I haven’t showered with my plants, but I have cleaned my shower while showering! 😂
Loved it! Doing it! Btw that beautiful dog definitely loves you. What a sweetheart.
your dog is so adorable
I had a bunch of my plants in shower the other day to treat em and rinse em off. My son went to go into the restroom and i heard him yelp then yelled for me, so i went in there and he was like "why are your plants in the shower" i said, "they needed treated and cleaned." He then says "you gotta take em out i cant pee with them in there, their looking at me."😅😂😂😂 i then said "just close the curtain, youll be fine" 😅😊😂❤
This is my kind of humor! Omg, I’m dying! 😂
"That's their bread and butter!" ❤😂😂😂 I really did go back and rewatch you say that numerous times and I crack up laughing!!!!
I just love that you make planting fun, relatable and realistic hahaha

Last years we visited Puerto Vallarta and I saw all of my plants just growing casually through cracks in the sidewalk. 🤣🥰 Your pup is so sweet. 🫶🏽
I love you're video's but your beautiful dog is a scene stealer, and so adorable. 😊
hahaha yeessss! I just posted a video last week about this and the reel got SO MUCH HATE because i wore a skimpy bathing suit - i thought it would be better than how i normally shower 😅 love these shots of your plants and legs and the towellll fire!!

To be fair, I thought this your video was kind of keeping up with the trend, Roos birthed 😂. Or maybe at least an irony 😉. You are right Roos is hot❤
Hey Girly! I've always done this :) totally recommend aswell! Ive even given them a little wash with plant safe soap. But.... my husband HATES it so i definitely recommend clearing them before he is home hahah.
Absolutely agree. I enjoy your humour!
I just showered all mine last weekend! They needed it and are definitely thanking me for it now 😂😊
You make me laugh. You are so funny. I love watching your videos
Love your dog.
I'm so glad you said, shower them seasonally cuz I was like, sometimes I don't have the energy to shower myself nevermind all my plants! 😂
Sweet puppy! Thank for the reminder to get my plant in the shower!
You are so adorable 😂 Loved this video!

Love your vibe 💜
What do you think of an idea where you can provide plant care services when people go for vacations/hometowns. You pick the plants, take care of them and drop it when they are back
Your cute dog steal the show ❤ I love your videos ❤

You are so kind. Thank you!
I shower my plants once a month. Also any time I get a new one I bring it straight to the shower when I get it home and wash every leaf with dawn dish soap and spray it down super good. Never had pests again after I started doing that.

Such a great tip!
I’m ☠️ at the opener. 😂😂😂
You're funny 😂 Always fun to watch you 😊
I shower my plants every other (ish) watering and certain plants get a shower EVERY watering. So far in my plant journey, I've never had a spider mite problem and I fully believe it's because I shower my plants so often
So inspiring, I'm going to stop procrastinating and do a spray down today
Thank you! Honestly, I am surprised when folks don't shower their plants regularly, but do something weird like wipe them down with mayonnaise. Every plant I own ends up in the sink or shower at least once a month for a full cleaning and drench of the potting medium. Plants benefit from good hygiene, too!
Missouri summers get very humid 😫
Thank you for the information. It makes too much sense. 🌱
Humidity? Oh man ... Good thing I live in Louisiana, and I have an awesome shower for that, I'm gonna try it.
jup i have a orchid on a piece of oak floring that was left over. i have it hanging in the bathroom window and when ever i shower i just take it with me :)
This is hilarious 😂 and helpful at the same time. But I must say your dog really has love for you 🥺♥️🤭
Soaking your plants to this extent also helps flush out excess salts and minerals from the soil 🙂
Good content Harli. I have a question for you. HAVE YOU FOUND ANYMORE INFO ON LIQUI-DIRT? Are they going to continue to sell it?
Syngoniums are a real pest magnet. I tend to chuck out the plants that get repeat pests. Love your " I'm not letting them win attitude" even if you make it sound psycho ish. FUN WITH PLANTS!......OH YEAH BABY! ( done with that British humor from that film with Dr Evil) And your puppy does love you madly, deeply and always❤.
That was a fun video to watch..👌✨ 💚🌵🌿🍀💚
I got a lovely cat palm from Lowe's and the only way to beat the spidermites was to shower it every Sunday and more often at first. I lost a lot of lower leaves but hopefully this summer i will get some growth 😢😅

Funny when KZreadrs say tropical plants need warm water. I live only 4 degrees off the equator line, our rain is definitely not warm, most of the time it's freezing cold. 🤣

I shower my plants 3-4 times outside during the summer. It’s a pain in the butt doing it inside 😅
Hi fellow plant parents & comments section people's, I gotta question(s)... 1. What is typically your absolutely most _slowly_ growing plant? I've been growing orchids for decades so I thought that I knew what slow was? I do not! 2. How freaking long under lights do snake plants grow? I've had these 2 plants (in different pots) since May or June 2023 & they have NOT moved an inch, like _literally!_ 😂😂 3. Also, while I gots ya's here: Do they prefer media like an orchid (bark chips/ moss) OR Like an Aloe Vera plant media (sand & drier stuff) OR just some regular everyday kinda potting soil?? 4. How sound I be treating my snake plant, it to get it to grow more? Should I treat it water light ect.. more like panda paws/ aloe or straight up like a cactus? HELP ME... PRETTY _PLEASE?_ 🤞 ps. And, yes! _Of course,_ I trust y'all's advice & opinions _so_ much more over Google's billion different opposing opinions & arguments. _Thank you,_ for taking the time to read this. Have yourself a simply wonderful day! 🤗💕

Some snake plants are better than others lol the Samurai is dead slow lol but my Sayuri and Bantel grow a few leaves every summer. The warmer the better and water only once or twice a month like the dry places in Africa the are native to. I use half orchid mix and half cactus mix and they seem happy

@@ShonjiPowerOf2 _ Thank you SO very much! I looked up all images of the 3 that you listed and, drum roll... I have a Bantel! I didn't realize there were 2 types that looked so similar?! This was all just _wonderful_ information. I'm going to repot them in the spring to add in more orchid media to my mixture. I shall await the summer & hope for the growth spurt. You are thee bestest & again, THANK YOU, TONS! *hugs from Canada 🤗🤗💕

Hi Harli I have been fighting mealy bugs for a long time. I’m cleaning them with a shower, alcohol & plant insect spray. Any suggestions? I’m at my whits end & don’t know what to do to get rid of them.
I might as well hop on in with em. I end up soaking wet anyway. 🤣 ✌️🫶🌞
I can't. :( I've tried, but my caretaker got mad about the dirt clogging the drain.
@melanieg.9092

If you can the get a drain catcher/sifter or do it over a bucket which you can then dump in the toilet. That way I usually have no problem doing this once a month
I recently had 3 new unfurling leaves on my adansonii rot before they fully opened, and I actually wondered if it being wet from me spraying it off was the culprit. I don't know what else it could have been 🤔

@@sigvita it's never happened to me before, on an otherwise healthy plant that always has new leaves, and the water spray is the only variable I can think of 🤷♀️
That’s was 😂😂 Good advice though 😀🇨🇦
I just brought home a new plant from Lowe’s. It was covered in bird poo so I showered with it 😂

Is this for all indoor plants? I have aloe, peace lily, dracena spike and tulips. Would I do this to them?
@HarliG
4 ай бұрын
Yes! So long as you’re only doing it when they need to be watered, they’ll do well on it
What about all the dirt that floats out of the plant pots?
I shower my 200+ plants about every other month to every 3 months and I have 3 kids... it's easier to water them that way too
The hobby lobby pot in this video 🙃😅
I wish my water wasn’t as bleachy as it is, I would love to shower them all!
Hey Harli, I have my won company 3d printing plant pots and home goods. Could i send you some?
😂😂😂 ❤
if you shower with your plants, do you have to worry about what soap/shampoo you use?
@HarliG

I don't think it would really do much unless you're using like a ton of product & it's flingin everywhere haha
What are your thoughts on neem oil?
@HarliG
4 ай бұрын
I used to use it a lot, but I ran out & haven't restocked because I just prefer to use what I already have on hand. Smells kinda garlicky, which didn't bother me & I really liked that I could leave it on the plant for a little bit of a shine plus slight pest prevention properties.
What do u use on your face?? U have a glow ..
Lmao!!!❤❤
First 10 seconds 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shower with the plants. 😂 why? who am I to judge. Coz I shower with my chickens 😅😂😂😂😂. 🤣 lmao. & they love it. Chicken soup. Lol
If I showered my plants, they would get too wet, never dry out and then all I would be growing would be fungus gnats! 😂 How do I shower them, esp. my big ones, without getting the soil too soaked?
@jackiewhitney5031
4 ай бұрын
As long as you have drainage holes........shower them as long as you feel. It won't hurt them at all.
@HarliG
4 ай бұрын
Having fully soaked soil is good for root health, but if you’re worried about it next time you repot add more pumice or bark to help keep things a little more airy. So long as the watering frequency isn’t too often, it’s completely fine to really soak the substrate 😁
So I worry about soil in the tub or sinks. We hav3 a really old house. Anyone else concerned about this. My husband is so anti bout plants in the sinks or tubs. He gets like Ryan with drilling holes. Help! ~ Tammy

You could try a shower drain catcher. There are different kinds out there so you could probably find a finer one to filter out smaller particles.
