I had a bunch of my plants in shower the other day to treat em and rinse em off. My son went to go into the restroom and i heard him yelp then yelled for me, so i went in there and he was like "why are your plants in the shower" i said, "they needed treated and cleaned." He then says "you gotta take em out i cant pee with them in there, their looking at me."😅😂😂😂 i then said "just close the curtain, youll be fine" 😅😊😂❤

Thank you! Honestly, I am surprised when folks don't shower their plants regularly, but do something weird like wipe them down with mayonnaise. Every plant I own ends up in the sink or shower at least once a month for a full cleaning and drench of the potting medium. Plants benefit from good hygiene, too!

Hi fellow plant parents & comments section people's, I gotta question(s)... 1. What is typically your absolutely most _slowly_ growing plant? I've been growing orchids for decades so I thought that I knew what slow was? I do not! 2. How freaking long under lights do snake plants grow? I've had these 2 plants (in different pots) since May or June 2023 & they have NOT moved an inch, like _literally!_ 😂😂 3. Also, while I gots ya's here: Do they prefer media like an orchid (bark chips/ moss) OR Like an Aloe Vera plant media (sand & drier stuff) OR just some regular everyday kinda potting soil?? 4. How sound I be treating my snake plant, it to get it to grow more? Should I treat it water light ect.. more like panda paws/ aloe or straight up like a cactus? HELP ME... PRETTY _PLEASE?_ 🤞 ps. And, yes! _Of course,_ I trust y'all's advice & opinions _so_ much more over Google's billion different opposing opinions & arguments. _Thank you,_ for taking the time to read this. Have yourself a simply wonderful day! 🤗💕

Some snake plants are better than others lol the Samurai is dead slow lol but my Sayuri and Bantel grow a few leaves every summer. The warmer the better and water only once or twice a month like the dry places in Africa the are native to. I use half orchid mix and half cactus mix and they seem happy

@@ShonjiPowerOf2 _ Thank you SO very much! I looked up all images of the 3 that you listed and, drum roll... I have a Bantel! I didn't realize there were 2 types that looked so similar?! This was all just _wonderful_ information. I'm going to repot them in the spring to add in more orchid media to my mixture. I shall await the summer & hope for the growth spurt. You are thee bestest & again, THANK YOU, TONS! *hugs from Canada 🤗🤗💕

Having fully soaked soil is good for root health, but if you’re worried about it next time you repot add more pumice or bark to help keep things a little more airy. So long as the watering frequency isn’t too often, it’s completely fine to really soak the substrate 😁
