My Siberian Husky Runs Away And Never Comes Back! - The Jaded Dog Trainer

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

One dog walks up to another dog in the park and says:
“Hey man, you should come here more often, you're looking a little fat!”
The other dogs say:
“I’m not fat! I’m just a little husky!!!”
Now onto why your fluff bucket, the dog version of Prefontaine, won’t come back to you. Simple...it’s a husky. The end ......
Huskies are bred to run, and keep running without the need for you to tell it to keep going. Legitimately, these bad boys (and girls) will run a sled dog race and mid-stride, throw their back legs into the air into holders (while their front legs keep trucking) and take a poop. That’s the kind of running dedication you have in your dog. And you want it to just turn on a dime and come back. Be better!
If you do have a badass husky that's in need of training equipment, check us out! We got you covered.

My current husky ran off a few weeks ago, his harness came off. After 45 min like a good boy he came back home, he heard his favorite toy ball I was squeaking .

My husky is almost the perfect dog. The only issue is he has no mercy when he can run off. While on a run he managed to get off his collar and didn’t returned till the next day. All night he was running around the block w a raccoon in his mouth.

Siberians do not run away. They just plain love to run. Unfortunately they don't pay a lot of attention to where they came from. Had a stranger stop in his truck while I was looking for mine. He asked looking for this ? There he was sitting in the seat beside him. Apparently he was standing in the road so the good neighbour stopped, opened the door and in hopped the dog.

Thank you for doing this. A lot of people think huskys are so cute which they are!!!! but they are NOT for everyone. Husky run off and they may not come back. So ALWAYS microchip your husky just like he says. Luckily I got a husky that will run when loss but she only stays in my yard and the next door neighbors. She is an AKC registered husky and the only thing that is a big problem with me is she is 2 and still wants to ONLY poop in the house. She can be outside for 12 plus hours and won’t go poop. But the second she comes in the house she shits on the floor. I mean it’s better then peeing in the house. But out of all my dogs this is the only one I can’t seem to get potty trained any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!! 💕

I have an 11 year old alaskan malamute, he has been the most loyal and obedient dog I ever had, and I can let him roam free as I live in a mountain area and he will always keep close enough to me, he learnt this from young age with not too much training and because he is starting to get old I thought about getting another dog, in some article I read huskies are very similar to alaskan malamute and here where I live malamute are hard to get across, so I adopted a 8 month old husky thinking he would have a similar inteligence and personality, but I was so wrong. I have had him for a year now, and it seemed that even though he was the most disobedient dog I had ever seen, I was seing little improvements, but lately he is just ignoring every command and running off wherever he pleases not caring how many times or how loud you call him, or how many times I try to correct his behavior by putting him in a short leash for 1 hour, this is a complete mess, I made a terrible mistake thinking they would have similar traits as it seems that although physically they look very similar breeds they are complete opposites in manners, intelligence and independance, so here I am now trying to see if theres any way I can change his behavior or I should just give it away to someone else who can walk him everyday on a leash, I realize now that this dog does not have the capacity to be given that freedom without disobeying and giving in into his insctincts, I don't want to have mine forever chained up because he is unable to learn, I will try every method I can find in youtube before giving up on him, as it was my own mistake. If I ever get another dog I will make sure to research for weeks beforehand and choose a breed that specifically is able to be freed off leash and is intelligent enough to keep close to his owner.

That's a different breed than a Siberian husky. Siberian Huskies are the issue. They are escape artists and they love chasing after other animals. If they go another people's property, here in California the neighbors can kill the husky if it's threatening their livestock. It's a problem. We need to find a way to get these dogs trained better.

Just don't have a purebred siberian husky. Thats the only way. Isnt wierd were racist when it comes to animals but if we say the same things about humans, its bad and told ignorant?

Until you work with an experienced musher or fence your property, you may end up with road kill. To satisfy the exercise need, I suggest getting a bicycle attachment so he can get the mileage needs done safely in a short time.
