I had 13 miscarriages before I realized that I needed testosterone suppositories for the first trimester. Now I have a healthy 14 year-old boy.

@elizabethfarley8678, I’m so sorry for your loss and your previous ones. I had 2 losses last year and am pregnant again it’s so scary. Did you get to run any tests to see if your last miscarriage or any of your others were chromosonally abnormal? I ask because sometimes they and we assume it’s because of our age that it likely was chromosonallu abnormal, I’m almost 39 and last year when I had my losses I demanded blood work to find out genetics and I learned chromosomes were normal on my last loss. Did recurrent loss panel everything else was normal except I had mthfr which means my body can’t absorb folic acid (synthetic) I have to take folate versions now. Also my last doc ran a test and found out I have high natural killer cells which caused my losses, now I have to do ivig infusions to prevent my body from attacking again. If you haven’t read “it starts with the egg “ I hope you can read it. It’s the 3 months before we ovulate that determines if we removed all the oxidative stress off the egg we ovulate to help improve the egg quality, it’s NOT just our age that makes the egggs chromosnallh abnormal, we do have an impact to improve them in those 3 months before we ovulate . Nac, r lipoic acid, lowering nflammatipn, improving blood flow. We can do this!! ❤️

@@missld6856 thank you for all of this info ! I had my 4th miscarriage in a row in September and it was the hardest. I am 40 and it’s just really hard emotionally and physically. My doctor has run blood tests and physical exams and hasn’t found anything except recommended I see a fertility clinic. My last miscarriage they did find a chromosomal abnormality but I had one other d&c and testing they did not find anything. 2 miscarriages I just did naturally and didn’t have tested. I appreciate your book recommendation! I have been taking my health and egg quality very seriously now! Hopefully not too late. I think it may be the key. I will check that out!

I wish I knew what this felt like. All I know is the ultrasound tech’s face changing and being told that I need to talk to my doctor. Then I look at the screen and it’s an empty sac.

Unfortunately I am on number 6. It’s either a missed Mc. A chemical pregnancy or early mc at 6-7 weeks 🥺 I’m starting to imagine a future without a baby

I am so sorry to hear that. That is a lot of miscarriages. I can only imagine how much all of these losses have impacted your life. I spent a lot of time in thinking about how life would look if a viable pregnancy was not in my future. Therapy helped a lot and just journaling about what life might be like.

Omggggg im dreading that ultrasound after 3 losses; 2 of them blighted ovums. I don’t want to go. Im 37 and I know its harder foe a successful one but not impossible. When you had your miscarriages how did you send it to genetic testing to see if it is genetics? Did they do it during a D&C? Or if you miscarried at home, how will I be able to send it for genetic testing? Are you over the age of 35?

I am just catching up on comments from the last month and I am so, so sorry to see you experienced another miscarriage. I hope you were able to send the tissue off for testing and that you have received results back by now. As you probably figured out with your doctor's guidance, miscarriage testing can occur with tissue tested at home or with tissue collected by a D&C. My five miscarriages occurred between the ages of 28-31 years. But for all of us RPLers (recurrent pregnancy lossers), regardless of age, there is a work up that can help determine cause for some of us.
