Mustad has a KVD Grip Pin Hook with an offset top that the Big-EZ fits on perfect. Still has the weight. It negates the use of the screw lock & the bait still keeps the same action. Just an option if you don’t wanna mess w/ the screw lock.

Good stuff Cody. I know you like burning it but if you ever wanna swim it, I use a technique that works really good for me to the point I only rig it this way. Try using a bobber stopper and a 1/16 or 1/8 ounce bullet weight. It gives the big ez a sleeker nose and gets the bait a foot deeper. The light weight also lets you burn it through the surface if you choose to do so.

Great video, Cody! I use the same hook with the large Owner centering pin... caught my PB on the Silver Shadow (black&blue) color. I also love the Red Ear & Forty Niner, though as a reaction bite, I believe you're spot on by saying color probably doesn't matter. 💪👊👍

Saw this like 2-3 years ago from Cody. Haven’t thrown anything else since. Owner has some good Spring Locks I pair with them. I catch more reeds than Cody though.

Have you noticed a change at ARK rods? I've gotten 3 rods in a row that were damaged, and their customer service doesn't even know information about the products. I'm not a pro, but I've bought at least 20 rods from them over the years and I'm about to give up.
