Wow, this was a lot of fun. I don't buy jewelry anymore, but there was a time when it really was a hobby for me. This was well before I found indie polish. I used to spend hours watching JTV. I just loved learning about all the different stones and cuts, etc. Personally, I tend to only wear the more dainty pieces, so most that I see, I wouldn't end up buying even though I think they're gorgeous. Opal is my birthstone, so Ive always loved it, even before I started learning about jewelry. I am so sorry to hear about your alexandrite ring being stolen. I know that real, natural alexandrite is quite expensive. I know I will never own one. But in all honesty, man made ones are great too. They are grown in a lab, much like how the earth would make them, except these are grown in a lab where people can control the conditions in the setting. So if you take a slice of the stone and have it tested, it would test exactly the same as one grown by mother nature. My daughter's birthstone is alexandrite. I used to buy loose stones too, and I'm almost certain that I have a couple loose man-made alexandrite stones. I wanted to have them made into a piece for her one day when she got older. We moved into a much smaller place about 9 months ago, and I put a lot of my stuff into storage. All of my jewelry is there except for the one piece I wear literally every day. I somehow missed part one, so I have to go watch that one now. Ty so much for sharing these! You have so many gorgeous and unique pieces! ❤️

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I've always been a jewelry lover, even as a kid. I definitley bought less jewelry once I found indie nail polish, but I still pick up pieces here and there. My preferred shopping locations being thrift stores, antique malls, or yard sales. I love the thrill of the search, finding good little treasures where others see junk. I used to buy vases or jars of junk jewelry at Goodwill and other thrift store that had them and sort thu them. That was really fun! But the stores around here stopped doing that around 2020, so it's a lot harder to source those. And online shopping for them is a lot pricier and harder to tell if you actually want the lot of potential junk. But when I was finding them, I would find quite a few goodies in them! I found everything from sterling pieces, to a 14k white gold and diamond tennis bracelet, and even a solid gold dental filling 🦷

I love the very first ring you showed-that was my favorite! And i see you love opals,as do i!! ❤ Thanks for sharing, your love for your jewels spills over into your voice and that in itself is something: it shows your passion for the things that you love. I'm quite an eBay queen as well,i just bought my second fav ring ever,it wasn't too cheep, but not as it would have been in a jewelry store. It's a natural pink sapphire 18 k white gold with an edwardian feel with the 'coin marks' around the side diamonds. I've wanted a pink sapphire for quite a long time and in the summer i had picked up extra seasonal jobs and worked very hard,so naturally,i hop on eBay and nab that sucker. Again thank you for showing your lovely collection 💕

If you love unique jewelry. I suggest silver insanity and novica and silver shake they all have really nice vintage inspired rings too. I'm not sponsored from any of the shops I'm just speaking from shopping experience.

Thanks! I have a section of ring slots in a jewelry armoire, then I have 2 ring trays that I got from either Amazon or eBay that are grey velvet, and 2 coffin-shaped cardboard ring boxes that came from Scented Treasures (I think). I have them organized by color, although they are currently a bit all over the place 😅
