I’ve only read one Colleen Hoover book, (it ends with us) but just by that one book it’s made me want to buy all of her books. Her writing was literally so smart. She made us fall in love with Ryle so that we could feel the pain and confusion that lily felt. Definitely one of my favorite books!!

I was really excited about It Ends with us and then I read it and was disappointed. It was a good book but not for me, from the beggining things seemed very unrealistic especially the characters (Ryle). I could not relate to any of them at all, It was also so cheesy I couldn’t but it was very easy to read. I was really interested when Atlas was living in the neighboring house before the whole love story but that was basically it.

I loved The silent patient ! I finished it in a day and It was one of the first books that got me back into reading recently. It was slow at first but it was a page turner for sure, I kept wondering what was going to happen next in the story. I 100% agree with what you said about there not being enough description about events that were mentioned because it could have added some more depth to some characters :)
I’ve only read two of Colleen’s books and I love her writing, hooks you in and you don’t wanna put it down!
Song of Achilles is so good!!! It is so beautifully and lyrically written.

i didnt like it
personally i thought ugly love was just a little over hyped😭& i h8 that i think that since it was one of the main colleen hoover books that blew up on book tok but throughout the entire book i kept trying 2 find what was so good & shocking abt it, it seemed like any other romance i’ve read. i did rlly like her writing style tho
I read four of your six tbr and I’d say Addie is SO overhyped -I enjoyed it but I wasn’t blown away. Daisy Jones - really cool audiobook experience because it’s written in an interview format, has fun but I didn’t love any of the characters. Song of Achilles - I thought it was great, I read it in Jan and the haven’t really thought of it since. Where the crawdads sing - I read this in Jan and can’t stop thinking about it, one of my all time favourites, defo UNDER hyped. But go with whatever you’d like to read next ❤️

Colleen Hoover is my favorite author! She knows how to write! I have been reading her for years! I’m happy she’s finally getting the recognition she deserves
Personally I really enjoyed we were liars since it was one of the first books I had read in a while at the time . I wasn’t on book tok or anything like that so I never realised the hype until after I read it. I do get what you mean though with it being a bit over hyped and not much character descriptions. I think it’s one of those books you either love or hate😊

Hey guys pls read this So i am currently writing a book but the plot twist is like HUGE and i just needed to tell you about mt book in general. I am just wondering whether that would be interesting for the audience so i would love to if you answer me 💟 So basically the main character has some cottagecore aesthetic and is living in a small village near the castle of her kingdom. Her dad is friend with the king but he dies and the girl lives alone for a while in her house while growing her flowers in her garden which she sells in the village at her flowery shop. A couple of days later she meets a boy she falls in love that turns out to be the prince who needs a wife because his father is sick and doesnt have much time left. Long story short he falls in love too and they marry (light academia aesthetic here), but sadly a war is coming in which the new king dies and the MC has to protect the castle and steps into a battle with the king of the other kingdom 1vs1 and the outcome would be unknown i mean i will make space for readers imagination and then BOOM "I closed the book and put it on the shelf" Turns out the whole story was just a book that was read by a blonde lil esspreso depresso girl in rainy england in 21st century that likes to smoke marry jane 🌿 on the roof of her semi detached house ( idk whats the name its like around 5 houses that share the same side wall) then she meets the new neighboor that comes from france and they lowkey fall in love (some lil peep and tumblr vibes here) and i think im gonna use the power of the authors and kill them at the end but im still not sure about that one tbh I have also thought about the name of the book, something like "Lavender and w33D" but im not sure bout that either. If you've read this far thank you so much i really appreciate it and im looking forward to your reply🥰

you have GOT to read You are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekannen. it’s mostly thriller and suspense, the characters are really well-written and i honestly never guessed the ending!!
The hating game is out on Netflix! So good girl! Def recommend! In my opinion, still loved the book more
I felt the same way about the 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo!!! It was repetitive and I felt no attachment to the characters. And it felt like it was so random some of the husbands she chose! Like no backstory at all!
@steephaniieeeee
2 жыл бұрын
but there was a purpose to each husband?? first was to get to hollywood, 2nd was cause she thought she was in love, 3rd was to trick people, 4th was to advance her career, 5th was for a cover up/to have a family, 6th was cause she thought she was in love with him and wanted that kind of relationship and 7th again was for a cover up?

YES I gave we were liars 2 stars too !! it’s so dumb & the ending literally ruined the whole book for me like it wasn’t even that good to begin with but then- it’s just so overhyped
Please do THE SONGS OF ARCHILLES!!
Song of Achilles: its a Good Book but it set my expectations too high. But I loved the friendship, you can see how it began and how it developed which is really cool but the middle part was slow and wasn’t for me because it was about war and stuff and not really about the Charakters anymore, but the ending was surprising and really good. The last few sentences shocked me and made me cry but in a good way. It is like Charakter focused then plot focused (which I didn’t love) and then Charakter focused again (which I loved)
Hi Sara! Thanks again for all your recommendations. 3:10 I loved this book.❤ 4:09 I didn’t like this book quite as much as Beach Read. 11:03 This book was so good. Did You Hear What Happened To Kitty Karr ? has a similar vibe.
