I can't say anything about ZUVI Halo, but my hairdresser works with Dyson. I asked him if I need it, his answer was NO. He uses it a lot for his work, as for me it is waste of money.

I have the Dyson Air Wrap and the Zuvi. To be honest, I don’t use the curling attachments on the Dyson as I don’t think they curl my hair very well, so it’s just a very expensive hairdryer! I bought the Zuvi because my hair and scalp were getting very dry when I went abroad and I wanted to minimise damage. Excuse the pun, but the Zuvi blew me away. I have very coarse and unevenly wavy hair that’s getting thinner as I get older. My hair felt soft, smooth and retained its body after drying with the Zuvi and didn’t get dried out as it does with the Dyson. Using the Zuvi, I could quite easily straighten my hair with a separate brush, but I do miss having the brush attachment that Dyson supply as it’s less cumbersome. I would highly recommend the Zuvi and don’t regret buying it as it is a quality item that works well and I am sure I will use it for years to come.

My first Gen super sonic Dyson is going 6+ years strong. After trying other styling tools and damaging my hair, I gave in and bought the airwrap. So far very happy.

I bought the Dyson about a year ago. I didn’t really need it but I hear it’s better for your hair because of the heating technology. Definitely has dried my hair a lot faster. I always use it with the diffuser or the straightener. It’s a good investment in my opinion.

Sophie, curious what’s your favourite shampoo & body wash brand? Mine is L’occitane, I keep going back to them & I’ve tried more high end & supermarket brands. I’ve very sensitive skin & it’s only one I find that has a good fragrance but doesn’t irritate me & their men’s range is underrated. I got a Heremes body wash when I was away for a weekend in Manchester over summer & it’s disappointing. It was graaaand but noting amazing, didn’t compliment the aftershave like I thought

Never heard of the Zuvi before your video. I ordered one to give it a try. I have fussy curly hair that legit hates the Dyson and other sonic hair dryers, so I’m hoping the light approach with the Zuvi will be a win.

I have the Dyson, love how it dries my hair super fast. I would be worried in using the Zuvi because of the light, can it be cancerous or bad for the skin? I guess its not uv light like the machines in nail salons but still I would worry in knowing what kind of light it is.

I just got the Dyson during the Sephora sale and was prepared not to like it! I have curly hair and blowing it smooth is challenging and takes a long time. The Dyson really is faster, with less velocity and heat. Guess it's a keeper. On the down side, the packaging is kind of ridiculous. Very pretty but adds so much to the cost and is quite wasteful, imo.

Hi Sophie, thank you so much for doing this video! I tried the Dyson years ago and I wanted so badly to love it, but I found it made my hair turn into straw. So much so that my hair would tangle up massively while I was drying it, and I still don't understand why. I have fairly soft, fine hair (but a lot of it). From my research, it seems that people with more coarse/curly hair love the Dyson. It looks like your hair is a bit wavy when it's wet - could you please tell me if the Zuvi smoothes out or straightens these waves at all? I was thinking that the lack of heat from the dryer, while healthier, might not be ideal for someone who is trying to straighten their hair while drying. Sending hugs from the USA! ❤

Hello Abby and a very happy Thanksgiving to you! I personally also experience the drying impact of the Dyson, where it makes my hair feel rough and straw like. The Zuvi doesn't do this, however, as it doesnt get as hot it takes a bit longer to dry the hair I find. But it does dry it out straight when you use the straightening nozzle attachment, if you want to dry it straight use the 'Fast' setting, I find this more effective than the 'Style' setting you're meant to use with the attachment that goes on the end. I hope this helps :) xx

I feel the shine is hard to compare because you’re comparing one side more in the light compared to the other side that’s not in the light, so it makes the hair look not as shiny as the other side.

If your hair is fizzy but you don’t feel like styling it, you can dry your hair without styling by holing it downward from scalp to end of your hair. No brush needed. It will look smoother and dries faster with less frizz.
