She is beautiful! Amazing work. Looks alive. I could look at her all day. Love it.
I personally really like this format! I often steuggle with finding the time to watch full length video's. And this is the perfect balance of following the process, relaxation and enjoying the sound of the materials! But honestly, I like everything you post so whatever works for you works for me!

Ahh thanks so much for your feedback Yoni! Nice to hear😁
This was SO Relaxing! And This is 1 of the best pictures I've ever seen! Love it so much!!
Your art is excellent but also your voice is very relaxing and pleasant to my ears (I say this because I have autism and I’m hypersensitive to noise and I rarely find a voices that sound relaxing instead of the usual disturbing I get and even more rare is to find someone who makes art and also has such a nice voice)

Hi Leontine, i really love your art it's amazing, and i wish to draw like you (i already draw but you draw better), could you draw a scenery of pollution on the sea or environment pollution pls🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
How do you get your pencils so sharp?! I can never get my pastels to be that fine tuned at the tip!
I think that is a very useful format. I am new to pastels. I notice you usually ‘pull’ the pencil tip, but sometimes ‘push’ it. Is there a particular reason?

Thank you! I push and pull based on where I am with the drawing. On the left side whiskers I had to ‘push’, as I’m right handed and I couldn’t bend around the drawing differently. pushing gave me the most control in that situation. But usually I like to pull:)
First rate! This feels more alive than when people just slavishly copy a photo. Love this.
Also, do I use pastel as I do color pencils? I am afraid of putting too much pastel on paper, it looks granular especially if I leave it as it is, and dont blend it.
Absolutely incredible .... I have two questions: 1. How do you get your white pencil to layer on top of other colors, especially black? My white pencil doesnt work so fine. If i sharepn it and keep it really pointed, will it work? 2. I know tricks to not smear color while drawing, but once you are done, how do you keep the color from smudging especially where the pigment is very dark or thick like the black cheetah spots? If you touch it accidentally or place another drawing over it, wont it smudge?

Thank you! 1. I use light pressure all throughout the process. If you start pushing the pencil into the paper in the first layers, the white won't go on top easily anymore. Keeping the point sharp also helps, but a light, controlled hand in the base layers is the most important! 2. It will smudge when you rub something against the drawing. I don't use fixative but I do frame big drawings like this with a good mat. It's safe from smudging that way:)

@@Leontinevanvliet thanks a bunch 💖
how do you blend backgrounds to make em look blurry
Hi Leontine! Is that possible to have you make my dog’s portrait? Do you sell this type of work? Let me know!
I’m interested to understand your approach with getting straight into the details and no under painting
@Leontinevanvliet

I do several base layers before I move on to details, but I move from section to section. I don't do an underpainting to the whole leopard, to prevent smudging the drawing with my hand:)
GORGEOUS work!!!! Love it!
