I do too! And I've heard this song probably over 1000 times! It's at the very top of my all time favorites in any genre! No matter what I'm doing, I stop immediately if this song comes starts playing. It's like I'm incapable of focusing on anything else if this song is playing! ❤

Two of the greatest legends in music history , sitting shoulder to shoulder. This song always gives gives me goosebumps. No version is performed by 1 of them and is supported by the other as any title suggests. Ray and Willie performed this masterpiece as a duet, equally credited in my opinion. Truly , a musical masterpiece.

One of my all time favorite songs. Your one of the few people I have ever seen react to it. I remember hearing this on the radio as a very little kid and falling in love with it.

The older singers would sing from the heart and they told their stories in song . Having a great voice is not as important as being able to pour out your emotions into a song that everyone at one time or another has gone through.

Nobody thought this pairing would work. But this would become one of Willie's biggest and most memorable hits and a true masterpiece. Willie and Ray would go on to work together on a number of occasions, and would also form a friendship that would last the rest of Ray's life.

2 legends. 1 piano, no egos, just music. Seven Spanish Angels is one of my favorites. I love how Willie showed his age by saying, "phonograph record." LOL I've often wondered how much better the world would be if we were all blind like Ray and unable to see skin color. Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp also started Farm Aide in 1985 to help struggling family farmers.

Country music royalty right here. He is one of greatest song writers of any genre.

Two legends, singing a great song. How can anyone not like this song. Two Willie Nelson songs that always make me stop what I'm doing, and listen, are, My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys, and, Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground. But it's hard to pick a bad Willie Nelson song.

The favourite song of my Mom, everytime she hear it she is crying, even she don`t understand one single word.

This song is beautiful and Ray makes it over the top.

This is one of my all time favorite songs. I love both artists individually, but when you bring these two LEGENDS together you can’t help but have an amazing song, plus the song itself is amazing, the lyrics are so strong abd moving, but these two incredibly artists put their own spin to them and make it that much greater. By the way you are incredibly cute, Gitana. I hope that last part doesn’t make Donovan upset or jealous.

I'm glad you interrupted and recognized Ray Charles. I loved hearing him sing. One of my favorites memories was when Ray and Willie sang as part of the group of amazing powerhouse singers who participated in USA for Africa and sang "We Are The World". Ray had a fair amount of success in country, too. At their best, soul and country draw on a lot of the same emotional space.

In the early 60s Ray Charles did an album titled " Modern Sounds in Country and Western" one of those songs was a massive hit and possibly his single most played song. I Can't Stop Loving You think it topped all the charts.

I just learned how to play the guitar recently and this is one of the first songs I learned to play. It's a great song and very sad one. But it has made learning a lot easier, singing and playing.

Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground, On the Road Again, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, his Crazy/Whiskey River/Night Life Medley, All of Me, and tons and tons of more great ones. He is simply the best IMO. And he did so many different styles, putting his spin on each. He’s a national treasure. (Added: he does a great version of That Lucky Old Sun, if you want to hear a great song that perhaps not as many people are aware of as the other suggestions)
