Bruce grew up in a small town in New Jersey which is where my mother grew up. He went to school with my Aunt. There is no way anyone could know how famous he would become. He is 73 or 74 and still doing concerts filled with energy and commitment for his fans.

There's a reason he's called The Boss! His hits span the decades. This was Courtney Cox's first TV appearance. You've heard Born in the USA. Do you remember what you thought it was about? Many Americans didn't then or now. They assumed it was an American anthem. It isn't. It's not unpatriotic either just telling a true story. It was highlighting the troubles a Vietnam Vet had over there and coming home. I don't know which is my favorite album of his. These songs are possible next steps. The ones with asterisks mark the ones I don't recall being played as heavily on the radio. The River * My Hometown Wreck on the Highway * Point Blank * Ghost of Tom Joad * 10th Avenue Freeze-Out * I'm in Fire Pink Cadillac Streets of Philadelphia (from the movie Philadelphia) The Rising * My City of Ruins * Into the Fire * These last 3 are the 9/11 songs he wrote shortly after the attacks.

Bruce is known as 'The Boss' & he is awesome. This was a fun one for sure & yes that was Courtney Cox & it is how she got discovered. This was a live concert & it was just luck on her part. Bruce has a lot of powerful, songs of protest or outrage, or maybe support for a cause. He is a grandpa now & still touring & has new music & also just came out with an autobiography. Not a complacent guy. I love the lightheartedness of this song too. We grew up in the Vietnam era & the civil rights era & activism& standing up for our beliefs is engrained.

His shows are always amazingly high-energy. I saw him in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, back in the 90's and it was three plus hours of him non-stop. Courteney Cox probably owes her career to this breakout video.

From his 1984 album Born in the USA, this became Bruce's biggest hit, winning his first Grammy in 1985. With MTV, the video filmed in Minnesota opened up a whole new audience for Bruce driving his popularity sky high. My Hometown Born in the USA Glory Days The song is so catchy, with the driving beat of the great drums, groovin guitars and Bruce's fabulous delivery. Then there's Clarence with his sax!!! Fabulous song. Loved your reaction Craig. Great selection. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

Great to see the boss making the channel! Though i feel this needs a whole sub section like the country music journey ones. This could open a huge rabbit hole to go down, The Boss is probably one of the greatest storytellers of all time, the Tom Joad album is a master class with some great obscure tracks to check out, “the line”, “Galveston Bay”and “Sinaloa Cowboys” being my personal favourites. But there are so many others to go to next: American Skin (41 shots) If i should fall behind Lost in the flood Meeting across the river Jungleland Devils and Dust The wrestler Queen of the supermarket I could go on but wont, look forward to more coming from this journey!!

I remember back in 1986 when Bruce Springsteen toured Australia I was 19 and I wanted to go see his concert in Melbourne. My mum said I could go but I had to pay for my brother to go with me. It was a great concert, still remember it as it was my very first concert ever. Plus good memories as I went with my brother who has now sadly passed away from throat cancer.

I would suggest « the honeymooners ». It’s not a hit. It’s been released on «tracks ». It’s just the kind of songs where Springsteen is at his best. Describing an ordinary mariage. It’s just like you were a guest. Nothing fancy. Nothing spectacular. But it so genuine, so real..
