Alright, this was definitely worth the wait! It looks more movie accurate, and the teeth are done perfectly. Unlike Mattel’s strait line teeth.

It’s quite ironic when random people on the internet can make better sculpts that are movie accurate than a multimillion dollar toy company. That aside, the newly modified Hammond collection velociraptor looks great! Can’t wait for part 2.

@@bigassmonkey1933 Price point doesn't measure quality. I've seen better toys for the same price or less. Mattel has made better raptors for less for their mainline. They're more accurate and better proportioned too. Also Mattel is a multi billion dollar company...they're worth 6.8 billion. They can afford to give us a better sculpt for something they advertise as a "premium collectors" line.

@@prjoliphant7951 Why do you guys act like Mattel is somehow incapable of giving us accurate sculpts and well proportioned dinosaurs? Lol they have done it before. But when it comes to the "premium" raptor...oh they just can't do it because price point and...reasons?

@@prjoliphant7951 As I said before..the main line ones are cheaper and more accurate to the ones we see in the first movie. Mattel is charging more for a less accurate raptor with awkward proportions. Put it next to a reference photo and you'll see how off they really are. They don't need to be perfect, that's not my argument. But for something advertised as a "premium collectors" line, there is going to be a higher standard. Simply getting the accuracy of the character right is a fundamental thing, even for a regular toyline. The rest of the hammond collection is pretty good for the most part, but the raptors need a makeover. They're way off.

@@bretbuckley704 also the t rex looks bad to, the detail is the same as the mainline toys. Crisp detail in the face the slowly gets soft and less detailed the further you go down the body especially the stomach region which makes it a bitch to custom paint. Also despite the head being smaller and the tail being longer like it should be the leg proportions are all out of wack. The glass eye and the way the mouth opens is bad. Honestly overhyped and a waste of 50 dollars......

I really want this too. But I hope I can print this one with other material. Like PDMS or something more flexible. Only worried factor about this head parts is potential for breaking. (I don't wanna complain about anything about sculpt or printing method itself tho) Reason why me saying this is because my indoraptor head was... kind of broken. so I couldn't let my raptor's mouth keep open. Even I painted it's mouse and all over.. :( it was my fault. but it's true if it was more flexible like og head, it would be safe. After all that, still coolest job indeed.

Yea that's unfortunate. 3D printed resin sometimes can be a bit brittle. There is some more rubbery material you can print with. It's much harder to nail the settings on the printer for that material. But it can be done, if you have the patience.

I don't give a damn about budget, they can so do it right, the Jurassic World has done fairly well. Maybe stop making so many raptors and Owens

It truly baffles me how in JP toys groups people will get legitimately mad if you dare point out something Mattel could *easily* fix and improve. The budget argument doesn't hold up will, seeing as most people trying to justify these bad sculpts and goofy proportions forget that Mattel is multi billion dollar toy company - one of the biggest in the industry. They CAN afford it, they're just being lazy. There's no excuse why they can't give us movie quality sculpts (as they advertise the Hammond Collection in their owns words on their website) and better proportions. If these were off brand dollar store knock offs, then yah, you could make an argument for that. But this is Mattel...again, a multi billion dollar company - worth 6.8 billion, handling a multi billion dollar mega franchise that's globally popular. Todd McFarlane is worth 300 million and he's squashing the competition and his action figures have better quality and sculpt accuracy and his products are in the same toy isle and cost around the same price point. I just do not understand the mindset of people who make excuses for these terrible sculpts when Mattel has done better.

You're incorrect about the feet being a stylistic choice they are 100% that big for standing reasons just because you proved you can make it stand with smaller feet doesn't change that fact, yes these are premium figures but at the end of the day they're still targeted towards younger children and bigger feet means it's a lot easier for them to stand them up then it would be for regular proportion figures
