Fun fact that I dont think anyone has pointed out yet :D -this takes place in the lmanburg ruins. I imagine him going there everyday (even before the 1 year anniversary lore stream wilbur did ) just rethinking his life and lmanburg :D. -In my head, this would also take place shortly between after the final disc war and him and ranboo's marriage - I guess it ended up being too quiet but in the beginning, you can hear tubbo's footsteps as he walks up the cliff and sees the "girl with braided hair"

I still can't believe that many people only caught on to c!Tubbo's tendencies after the anniversary lore stream - the decline of his mental health was hinted at in Season 1 and clearly shown in Season 2 with his behavior in Season 3 further underlining the fact that he doesn't value being alive as much anymore. Apart from the emotional trauma which both of his deaths - Eret's betrayal, but especially his rather painful and cruel execution - caused him, leading him to have nightmares about it and to bear scars that never fade, his position as the president had an extremely negative impact on the image he has of himself. Being the president, that means having a lot of responsibility - and Tubbo, who had been accused of being weak, a follower, by Wilbur - was determined to fulfill his duty as well as he could, show strength as a leader and serve the country and home he loved... And as we all know, it lead to him to exiling Tommy, his best friend. To Tubbo, this posed a moral dilemma, leading him down a down-ward spiral. He questioned his decision to send Tommy away, began missing him, started feeling guilty... But these exact thoughts, they must have led to a reinforcement of the idea that he was weak in his traumatised and therefore unstable mind! He had tried to demostrate authority, did the thing that was "right" for his role to do, so why was he feeling regret? If he was as strong as he pretended to be, then it shouldn't be an issue! But then, it got worse. When Tubbo caved and came to visit Tommy... There was nothing but a huge tower and destruction in sight. He thought that Tommy had ended his life because he couldn't bear living in exile. Tommy was dead because he sent him away. He had killed his best friend. And of course, it didn't end there. The final nail in the coffin was Doomsday, the final destruction of L'Manberg, their home. Tubbo agreed to hunt down Technoblade, causing the Blade to turn his attention back to destroying their country - all because he had indulged Quackity's demands, because he had supported the idea of executing their enemies. He was giving his okay for an action that had been so similar to what had been done to him... And it backlashed in the worst way. And then when it happened, when his country fell, he couldn't prevent it. He was the president, the one who was responsible for keeping his nation and its people safe, and he was unable to protect them. Tubbo had failed. He had as a friend. He had failed as a president. He had somehow become both the terrible tyrant who the people who hurt him had been, and exactly the powerless coward people took him to be. And now there was nothing left to hold onto. With the end of L'Manberg, Tubbo lost direction. Until recently, he didn't have a purpose, looked for short-lived thrills and happiness which he found in his bond with Tommy and Ranboo and the experiences they shared together, good and bad. Tubbo wasn't, and still isn't scared of endangering his life if it means that he can have fun - he doesn't mind the risk of dying. There is one last remnant of a burning spark in him, the want to keep his friends and family safe; But he doesn't care about himself anymore. So when Dream held an axe to his neck, Tubbo said to Tommy that he "had done enough"... He had caused so much harm that beneath his cheerful facade, there was a self-hatred that was threatening to swallow him whole. When Tubbo encountered the Eggpire, Ranboo had to hold him back in order to protect him because he so mindless when it came to keeping his last life. Where Tommy and Ranboo seem to try and evade danger and conflict... It is as if Tubbo is seeking it. And in all honesty - if (or rather when) Tubbo uses his nuke, I doubt that he will pay much attention to his own safety. If he blows up then so be it. In his head, he probably shouldn't have lived as long as he has anyway. (I absolutely love the animatic, by the way - the art is pretty, the designs are lovely, the details beautiful... I adore the concept and the love you're giving to Tubbo's character!)

I actually love tubbos character so much for the depth of it all- I feel like a lot of it plays off of the ideas of him feeling pressured to fit a role and live up to the expectations of those he cares about and that kind of conflicted to lead to Tommy’s exile as the culmination of it all. And I would write more but I need to go

About after Tommy's exile... When Tubbo saw Tommy was alive he was out of words. He was so happy he's alive and at the same time so confused. But instead of greeting his friend, Tommy just yelled at him. He did this every time something similar happened and I think that also had an impact on Tubbo's character

I LOVE THIS The fact that Tubbo was talking himself out of it for so long, and when he couldn't, he had Ranboo to help instead.

I love how you took the ending reveal of this song literally and had each of the people that tubbo sees be younger versions of himself. Tubbo continually goes back to the lmancrater after traumatic events happened in his life, and he convinces himself not to jump, until the last time where Ranboo comes to help him

Wow, a My R animatic that actually goes by the themes of the song and doesn't replace the iterations of the singer with other people. This is fantastic

I like that thing you did with the black frames in between the reaching hand from 2:50. It's such a nice touch creating something like a blinking effect which added to the depth of the emotion on that specific part of the song. But I'd say my favorite would be that shift in the focus from the foreground to the background in 3:02. At first I thought you lowered the opacity of the hand and then I rewatched it again and see it was a shift in focus. Also, I like that the movements of the letters in the warning and the song title~

c!Tubbo does feel like the type of character who is going through a ton and never lets anyone know. He's been through a ton, not just recently but for a long time, and just focuses on light hearted happy things, especially even now, more trauma piled on, even now after Ranboo has died and Michael was taken, he still tried to remain happy. Good thing Techno and Eret have helped him get Michael Back.

I love how you instead of doing the normal thing that everyone does with this song which would be different characters in the dream SMP, but you made it where Tubbo is seeing different Versions of his past self and I love it!!! Love the art style too! Keep up the good work!!

One thing I really really love about this is that it's actually doing what the song meant. The song from what I've heard is talking about going through all the reasons they want to kill themselves and then convincing themselves not to. Which is what this animatic is doing which I don't see often (most have one character convincing several different people not to do it instead of themselves) so amazing job!

Holy shit I love this so much. First of all, your fucking art style man. The character designs are so freaking cool its amazing. The scene at 1:42 where he pushes up his hair to reveal his eye just has so much emotion and anguish written over it, you convey so much so well. Second, love the concept. You're right, this song fits c!Tubbo so well. He's been through so much but I feel like he hasn't been able to stop and grieve over every bad thing that's happened because something even worse would follow straight afterward. (0:40) Eret is a traitor, he blew up everything we've been fighting for? That's sad, but like, I'm trying not to get killed in the subsequent war so suck it up I guess. It could be worse. (1:21) Elections have somehow turned into exile and war, my best friend's been seperated from me and I'm being manipulated by a power hungry bastard? Pretty sure both sides now suspect me and are hiding things in case I'm a liability, no one really trusts me anymore and I'm kind of alone in an unfamiliar space seperated from the friends that I now am stimultaneously risking my life for and becoming distant from. Sucks ig but first I gotta spend 6 hours building this secret tunnel. (1:43) Besides, Tommy still loves me, he's still my friend. Can't be that bad. (1:57) And as these problems keep coming up, he doesn't really have time to reflect on them. He just kind of talks himself into thinking it's not a big deal and then completely throws himself into whatever he's been tasked with to distract himself, practically running himself dry. He really was the most alone during that time, neither side really accepting him as their own. He literally only had himself to think/talk to, and we all know Tubbo's coping mechanisms tend to be ignoring the problem like it doesn't exist. (2:25) And then the exile arc happened, which I feel like was one of the worse because he didn't have Tommy anymore. He was left in charge of a crater, people were criticising his every decision. Worst of all, he had time to THINK for once and that was bad. That's where I think the third verse is especially relevant. You can tell its harder for him to talk himself out of it because he's reached a resigned state (that *smile* at 2:41) . 'For once I've bitten off more than I can chew'. It's come to a head, he's literally lost everything he's dedicated his entire existance to, which is sad because Tubbo really did give his EVERYTHING into what he did. And that little resigned 'I guess todays just not my day' as he turns and walks away is again, Tubbo coping mechanism TM with 'oh well' energy. And then stuff gets even more blown up, l'manberg becomes a crater, Tommy 'dies'. (3:20) At this point he's not even emotional over it because its really just not suprising anymore. Everything's over, L'manberg's over. Everyone's going their seperate ways, building new homes and restarting life. 'There's no one here today, I guess its my time' when everything's truly over and for once he's actually just alone. Him reflecting over the past events, all the times he's gone through such horrible events only to talk himself out of it. There's nothing left to live or fight for, no Tommy, no L'manberg. So that's it. (3:38) But goddamnit that end scene killed me. The snowchester arc is one of my favourites because while there's still so much left unsaid and problems still lurking in the background, it seemed like a healing period. Ranboo taking his hand, them building a mansion together, adopting a child. The tired domesticness and mutual reservation about their own fears and problems. They know they both have their secrets, but its still okay because they don't really need to know. They're tired, and are just slowly living life for once. They keep each other from being destroyed by themselves if that makes sense, just barely. But that's enough. So yeah. This was so fucking awesome. You had the story nailed down pat, which I've found a lot of 'My R' animatics actually struggle to convey well. And I mentioned the art style right? Because by god those character designs are beautiful. Thank you for the time and effort you spent on this, and thank you for sharing it with us. It's incredible.

ehem, U N D E R R A T E D . this is so good, i barely see any animatics that dont just cast tubbo's character as a side character, even though he does kinda intend to be a side character. it's nice to see an animatic about what some people would call a "side character" keep up the good work :]

i love how you drew it like the song. Many other (very talented) artists draw it with different characters and choose not to the focus on the true meaning of the song, and the animations are phenomenal, its just a creative choice of course. However, it is so refreshing to see someone animate it this way. It really adds a new found depth to the song that you executed perfectly!!

I love how rather than using a different person you use Tubbo at different times (L'Manburg war, Manburg vs Pogtopiu, and then President Tubbo). Also I like how Ranboo saves him.

I know I am extremely late to comment but I just now found this masterpiece. Your art and style is very pretty and very pleasant to watch and your animation is very good. I love all the little details on every past Tubbo and everything that made them that way. The concept of the animation, Tubbo going on to take his life and then seeing his past self struggling and he saves his past self but couldn't save himself because it was already too much. The last Tubbo that he struggled to save was I guess him just after doomsday or sometime after while visiting L'manburgs ruins, which is pretty recent and that hits hard because it's not one "dumb" thing it's everything that has happened to him ever. That makes no sense and I know it but still love the video keep it up! Ɛ>

I hate and love this because this is exactly explains why I'm such a sucker for c!Tubbo. No one else acknowledges what he actually goes through because of all the goofy lore bits he tends to have, and everyone's so focused on Tommy, Dream, Ranboo, Quackity, etc. etc. I mean, yeah, Dream's lore partnered with almost anyone else's makes it super depressing and sad, like how c!Tommy almost committed, and how Ranboo is literally constantly haunted and suffering because of Dream, but no one acknowledges the smaller ones, the people who have lore that everyone sets aside and deems "ridiculous" and "silly" because of a few times that it was certainly outright strange and seemed almost delirious. George's lore is a great example of this too. Sure, his lore seems very funny, strange, stupid, and weird, but we forget to look past the surface and recognize that his sleeping habits are likely a *trauma response*. Tubbo ignores all of his problems, he avoids them, so when they finally come back and hit him in the face with consequences, he often breaks down; Look no further than the stream of finding Michael. The whole time Tubbo was clearly breaking down, losing his temper at almost everyone that he talked too. He literally went through the stages of grief, definitely out of order, but it still happened and yet people still turn a blind eye? Such a shame.

Actually, I relate to this whole situation. A friend of mine tried to go through with it a few weeks back and it scared me. And I begged him not to do it. And even though he didn't I'm still scared that someday he might. Also this animatic is very well done

ive seen many my r amv and gcmvs, but this is probably the best ive seen! Not only does it fit his character, you conveyed all the expressions perfectly, and you actually understood the real meaning behind it(ive seen many ppl use three different characters when in reality its just the same charcter over and over)

I feel like this would be close to his limbo if he would have one. Trying to help fragments of his past, having no escape, because everytime you try and leave (commit) therrs another of his past self to haunt him and being forced to help himself (something he struggles with a lot) and having to confront your past and your problems.
