So I was gonna make another video on this because I feel as if the main point of the video was lost, but my laptop broke and is unusable, I will put a statement here and make a video once I get another laptop. I don't think the game embraces its setting at all, It tiptoes around what is common (Like making a LMG out of bike parts) and what is uncommon or "Rare" (Power armor). A common argument that the community of Blastaway uses it that its either too rare or too complex. An example is when I get into a argument over the new LMG redesign, I suggested that it would be cool if in lore it was water cooled, like a Vickers machine gun from ww1. Someone, who I will not name, relied to me saying that that would be way too complex for something in the wasteland (despite the fact this is an LMG made of bike parts). ATF as of now is in a dying state, I somewhat blame this to the overuse perms to make the game realistic and the fact the game is utterly meh. When ATF lifted its restrictions, it was too little too late and the game was in a downward spiral, hardly do I see anyone rp there and its more or less a chat hub with a wasteland setting. Blastaway is kinda in this same spot, I don't think its doing enough to attract a player base other then EX atf players, I want this game to be big. I want this game to be great, but It isn't innovating enough to stand out in anyway, the game only has 3ish main factions and one of them isn't even utilized that much (Odd rocks). I understand and agree with perms, I think they are a necessary evil in order to keep balance, I'm not saying Blastaway should remove realism entirely, but I don't think a "grounded" future setting will work in this current rping climate, It needs to do more. G, if you're reading this, I understand what I'm asking is a lot, but you don't need to listen to me. As I said at the end of my video, its your game, but I think you should find ways to innovate and make Blastaway stand out.

@psychopathic squid no. He has all valid points. They are dying games. I love rping in them. But they make so much. RAPTOR exclusive. And you can’t get into the raptors. They come for you. I heard mods say it themselves. The chances of becoming a raptor for power armor is slim and time consuming. I love the game to death. But. It’s toxic.

Drones and droids are ok, but keep in mind, this is an POST-APOCALYPTIC atompunk rp game. So of course, maybe the UACF had mechs but they were destroyed in the nuclear blast. Drones and droids, yea sure, maybe wasteland-manufactured.

Theres a reason for no bipeds and walker drones its because in the lore a rouge group of bots pre war massacred a town square

honestly with ATF i think it did too much in...... THEEVEN NUMBERERED ONE but yea i agree we do need some robots also caravan droids, and patriot and guzzler droids would be cool

It be interesting if say you could have cars, made by the guzzlers. For instance simply spawning them in. Or horses even. It makes travel easier.

In lore there are cars, and you can RP as you have a car or motorbike, just not actual items as it would probably be abused.

Its a bit more then that, for context robots are allowed but they need to be lore friendly and not everyone will like it, I'd say cut the middle man out and add robot morphs so you don't have to mess around with mods to see if a character is lore friendly or not. I also really like morphs, and I am not a fan of "Just RP it"

Gasmask Faced Nerd robots are banned because in a lore tidbit during 2083 before world war 3 androids identified citizens and robbers and started massacring them this made the uacf put strict rules over robotics

My problem with this game is that they permanently banned me when I said a 'rail from behind' joke I do not like there community..

I got perm-banned for no reason, kicked from the group, Discord server, etc. I was given no chance for an appeal and their Alt servers prevent me from ever going back.

That's still a thing? I was pretty sure it was 100% removed. If I recall you need to leave any group related to Denis or Flamingo, as they've sorta ruined the game in the past, Or your account isn't 1 year old. I do think the alt server is stupid and needs to be removed entirely as it contributes to the stagnation of the games growth.

Me being an after the flash OG back in 2013-2016 when I first discovered after the flash sandstorm the old old og version the classics, I will say from experience and coming back to experience modern ATF now-a-days (like winter tide and ETC) the game is dead but still does scrape by a few 80-120 people in active times in the day and frank here the dice roll mechanic thingy is cool and all but it ruined like any of the progress of any roleplays and makes the roleplaying in such games so sluggishly long and boring and that is what makes ATF so boring to me having to roll a dice and on top of so many layers of unneeded roleplay mechanics (like the roll dice mechanic) is just too many layers in a roleplay setting and that is what makes a roleplay so boring to do and then being forced to enforce roll mechanics for roleplay and certain scenarios and settle every outcome is just what puts a nail in the coffin and I agree with this video about ATF it's too realistic and rather too complicated for just a single RP game about the average copy and paste Fallout Las Vegas but if it was a RP game. but yeah great video though. I will Like + Subscribe to you.

Great Video They Should add Power armor's that All Waste landers can Use because Raptors are the only ones who can have t and That is UNFARE and BIASED and I think it should be available to Loyalists, Waste Landers, Out Claws, and Gaz Guzzlers to make it fare . And also not bias'd. Also they should add Robot's because it would Look really Cool and I want too have a Robot Military Char who is Not able too take damage because Robot's can't feel pane

The use of morphs like the LW is restricted to only the WR, due to what you're saying you'll do with the morphs; fail roleplay. They don't want everyone running around as bullet resistant titans, crping folks, and not reacting to counter-attacks. Hell, even says in the rules that you can't rp as androids, and even if you really, really, REALLY have to, it doesn't grant you any perks, or extra abilities. Now, in terms of lore, WR is the only faction that it even remotely makes sense to possess technology like that. You shouldn't be able to see Gas Guzzlers, a rag-tag biker gang, running around in (essentially) power armor, it just doesn't make sense. And finally, Ghaucho has, and still does, openly admit that there is a bias towards the Raptors. It's not like he tries to hide it, or that it's anything new. I just realized you're probably just messing around you got me, lol

I do think the raptors do have a lot of bias, but I think restricting power armor is a good idea. If everyone had power armor it would remove the rarity power armor, although I disagree with permissions (mainly from ATF's abuse of them) I think they are a necessary evil to keep everyone from having a massive disadvantage for not running a character with power armor. I also don't think having an invincible robot (or who has extreme resistance) would be a bad idea for the same reason power armor is restricted. I envisioned the robots to be more or less like humans, but that have a better understanding of what they are (pseudo AI) or brainless and zombie like. I think this could be a good change as there isn't really any "friendly" mutants and having something that isn't human and isn't as dumb as a box of rock would be cool. But maybe I have a bias towards robot characters, who knows.

@@gasmaskfacednerd5896 Lew has stated before that robots are canon in Blastaway, just there's a reason you never see them - the rarity. Most folks would rather scrap a robot for parts, and easy money, than just having a useless bucket of bolts following them around. If anything, if ANYTHING, if there were so called "robot" morphs, then the use of it should definitely be limited to perms granted by the mods, much like the case for the chupacabra; they're both rare. I don't think that adding in robots available to EVERYONE is a very good idea. That's just the truth.
