Watch part one first! It's here: • My plan for scrapbooki...
Hi! I scrapbook live on Facebook every Monday and Friday, and teach online classes too. Today I'm sharing the second of two parts of my scrapbooking plans for 2021 - and yep, it's long. Because it covers way more than I would usually put into one video sharing one layout! (If you're more interested in single page tutorial videos, just hang tight past these two parts, because almost all the rest of my videos are exactly that.)
You can find me here:

Every month I work with one set of supplies for all my live videos, and you can always find the next month's product picks on this affiliate link: shrsl.com/2db89. You can use the list to shop online, shop locally, or shop your stash! All approaches welcome and valid!
The supplies I'm using in this video are a mix of a current product line that I added to that shopping list for February and things I'm picking from my existing stash. The month-by-month papers and the sticker book are from the Hello Today collection by Simple Stories: shrsl.com/2ufyv (you can choose the papers individually or in a set).
This is not a sponsored video - I've chosen and purchased all the supplies myself and you'll only see me do 'real' scrapbooking that I want in my personal albums. There are some papers in this video from my very first collection with American Crafts, way back in 2014, but you wouldn't find those available for purchase these days. If you ever have any questions about how I work with products, please ask and I'm happy to chat.
Remember, there's no right way to scrapbook other than the way you love, and there's no stress in scrapbooking! However you craft, enjoy!
Thanks for watching. xoxo

I love your pep talk at the end! Being a mother of three special needs kiddos I do feel behind with their books. But they won’t even care about them I know! So…it is just for enjoyment and therapy for me! Love that I found you! ♥️
This looks fantastic! I really appreciate that you have taken the time to thoroughly explain your thought process as well as your physical process. Thank you.
I loved the front bit! It reminds me of a title page even if there were no photos. As always you are amazing!
Thanks so much, Shimelle. It was an absolute treat to sit and watch these pages coming together. I love to use 12x12 layouts and pocket pages in the one album; I love the variety it brings. I also take lots of photos and am a slow scrapper so this helps me too. I always enjoy your videos and all of your tips and advice. Can’t wait to see February, whenever it eventuates. Totally agree; scrapbooking is meant to be pleasurable - as little stress as possible! Tfs and Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺, Rebecca
I love that you are getting rid of so much from your stash! You go girl!!!
"I haven't scrapbooked for the last ten years and I need to catch up!" that's a mood. it's not been 10 years but my youngest dog is 4 years old in July and I haven't scrapped ONE photo of him... He wasn't even born yet the last time I scrapbooked... yeah. He deserves a baby album so I gotta get back into it but fuuuuuuuu
I finally was able to,sit down and watch part 2 I love your concept with the pocket pages, TFS your love of scrapbooking can’t wait to watch another video ❤️
Love that you mentioned Rothko. Watched a documentary recently about counterfeit Rothko paintings.
Thank you sooooo much. I put so much stress on myself. I'm in my 60s and I have 40 years to do.... Ahhhhhhhh!
Love your take on this! I can’t wait to see what else you do with this plan-on your own time, of course!
Shimelle, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Thank you for sharing your roadmap and thank you for giving me permission to not try to catch up!!! 😊😊😊
So excited about your new space, and I loved, loved, loved watching both of these videos!

That’s the plan!
THANK YOU for de-complicating pocket pages!! (but still making them pretty 😍) I think I maybe need to start printing my photos a little smaller.
Love your outlook on no schedule when scrapbooking.
I always thought that would be the best way to use the pocket pages. Amongst the 12x12’s
I loved watching this come together! It looks so beautiful and inviting. I like mixing pockets pages in too, but also cannot commit to a full weekly record of anything like PL, etc. Thanks foe sharing both of these videos!
Looking pretty 🤩 thanks for the inspiration And I’m still working on my 2019 album 😬
I'm enjoying using 12x6 as well this year. perfect for the little stories that lockdown has produced
I learn so much from you. Thanks for sharing and being so uniquely, wonderfully you :)
Awesome Shimelle! I’m not a full-on pocket page scrapper, however, I do enjoy watching your process. You offer up so many options. Cheers!
lovely Shimelle. Love these video as I was wondering how to use different pocket pages in a album instead of only using 12 x 12. Thankyou. :)
LOVED these 2 guide videos. It's so inspiring and I now have a better idea of how to do my 2021 album. I've already been mixing 12 x 12 pages with pocket pages so I'm happy with that way of scrapping. I think it will help me limit the amount of different things I try to use. I need to realise that I don't need to fit as many different things in as possible and that themed pages/albums work well. So thanks Shimelle for all tips and inspiration x
Love your album! So inspiring 💕 Thank you 😊
I love seeing your process on putting the album together!
Love how this turned out, and how you say scrapbooking is to enjoy yourself, not stress about it, and that I’m not caught up.. This I will take on board❤️
I am doing this series with you and loving it !! Just loving it ox thank you
Loved seeing your thought process on how it all came together.
Love this! Ooh and music 🎶
Wonderful Shimelle! I always get such inspiration from you. 😊
Thank you for the reminder to enjoy scrapbooking. Love your pages.💚
Thank you for filming these videos. So much inspiration to motivate me to get back to scrapbooking!
This is a great plan. Thank you for sharing the explanation and thoughts behind your ideas for this year's album.
This was amazing. I love everything you did! It was very interesting to watch your process. I will never be caught up so I don’t worry about that!
Love it! Great plan and process!
loved seeing your process especially as it being different to normal style on fb live
Love it!! Thank u 4 sharing!
Love your process and videos! I saw in the first video that you had those nice IKEA(?) Cabinets. Was that your scrapbook room? Have you ever done a room tour? If so, I’d love to see how you organized in those cabinets. You’re just so talented, and you make it all look so easy! Lol

Not Ikea! This is the space we designed and built ourselves, and I've only just moved into it. No room tour yet, but when I have everything where I like it and have had a bit of time to confirm it's working, then I'll share a look around. :)

Can’t wait!!! 🥳👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Shimelle - thank you for sharing. I purchased the monthly collection thinking to make calendar pages to go into my scrapbooks (like I normally do). After I got the kit I realized I didn’t have enough papers for my normal. I love your idea. It’s like the December daily albums only 12x12 and monthly. I am excited to try something new this year!
Love this...thanks!
I'm not a pocket page scrapbooker, but I'm going to try this method of adding the extra pictures. Thank you!
More awesomeness 🙌🏻
I love this ❤️
Thank you for you video part 2 xo I am very grateful for your positivity oxox Thank you ox
This is so cool!
Will there be a Part 3? Love this series!! 💖
Thanks inspirational!
Love this plan! Can I ask where you got the 2021 cut file? I love that format.
I love this. Haven't tried pocket pages yet, but I have been considering the idea. Question - do you ever use a photo twice? I'm thinking say a photo might go in a theme album, but it would also be one that fills out a page for this album.

Occasionally, yes! Especially if there are two albums where the photo helps tell the story - definitely no reason not to include it in both! Think of biographies and articles about famous people - we see the same photos in different books and articles because they help tell those stories, and it doesn't matter that the same picture appeared elsewhere. :)
You're always inspirational and creative, thank you. I have almost used up all of the collections you have created in the past. Are there any plans for you to create another collection? Love you, Glitter Girl!

@@shimelle Thank you for your response. I totally understand, after I taught for 42 years in public schools, I was certain that after some rest, I would return to teaching in the private schools...that was 6 years ago, I do not teach but I am really enjoying being able to mix and match my life on my own terms!!! Take care and enjoy!
These layouts are amazing! I find it takes much more planning and brain power to use pocket pages- but I love them and incorporate them as much as I can! I’m trying a 9x12 album for the first time ever for 2021. Do you use vintage photo distress ink to edge your elements?
@shimelle
3 жыл бұрын
I used Vintage Photo here, yes, but I like Walnut Stain for edges too. :)
Will you be adding the rest of the months to this series?
“Rothko moment” LOL 😊❤️
Any updates to this album?
Question: I've been doing a lot of jumping around and creating pages as I feel moved to. So, now I have a bunch of pages that aren't really related at all. I have no idea how to put those layouts into books. Any thoughts?
@shimelle

This is mostly what I do, and I put them into albums chronologically for most things. If I have heaps of pages for one event, like a trip, then those get an album of their own. Don’t overthink it. :)
Love it. Can you please not cut out the cutting or the inking the edges. The asmr on those are great.

Ha! I try to keep a balance! :)
I'm just curious as to why there are no pictures of your husband

Because he doesn’t like having his picture taken right now and I respect that choice. :)
