you should look into poison dart frogs. they're so pretty (and not poisonous in captivity). solidgoldaquatics has some really cute ones

YOU TOTALLY REDEEMED YOURSELF! 🤩🤩🤩🤩Forgive yourself for whatever happened in the past you’ve saved and changed so many animals lives that little guy totally forgives you. I’m glad you mentioned that story to show how important it is to research all about the animal your going to provide for. Your amaze balls!!!!

I still would recommend using a dechlorinatior (specifically reptisafe because it’s good quality) because chlorine causes necrosis to animals that breath through skin and gills (amphibians and fish specifically) which means their lungs and gills will just rot away.

I will get that, thank you for the suggestion. Spring water is free of chlorine, so we're good there. But being able to use tap water would be nice, so Reptisafe seems like a good way to go.

I just want to say, the gold eyeshadow and look is so bomb and gorgeous!

Frogs are so adorable, I was super obsessed with frogs as a kid, I used to catch them all the time (I’d release them after like an hour) and one time my brother’s and I were actually able to find tadpoles

Your channel makes me so happy! I’m literally geeking out. My husband is laughing. He’s like “your still watching that animal chick? 😹

My FAVORITE part of having creatures is setting up their first tanks and rearranging them after a couple weeks. It's SO fun to design their homes, and challenging! Trying to recreate their most natural habitat while also making it enriching for them. I much enjoy and am way better at terrarium designing than I am my own furniture and crap xD But life hit me and I'm now in a one bedroom apartment with a large dog and two cats already, it wouldn't be fair to bring any more creatures into my small home so I haven't had the opportunity to do this in a long time ): I dearly miss it. I'm moving vicariously through you!

You need to let the filter cycle before you add the animal! An ammonia spike can be very dangerous.

I agree, also make sure to get a gravel siphon and do regular water changes because if the frog poops in the water it will get trapped beneath the rocks and you'll end up with a layer of toxic frog muck.

The filter has been in there for a few days. The frog has not arrived. I wanted to give the tank time to set itself up.

@@KristenxLeanne getting a bacteria cycle going without using previously seeded media can take 6 weeks or more, I'd recommend reaching out to a friend with a fishtank and asking for a handful of biomedia (make sure to keep it wet) to put in your filter. I don't have any frogs but I have many aquariums and breed fish, so I certainly don't know if frogs need cycled water, my main concern was just bacterial buildup and ammonia/nitrite spikes could be harmful.
