I had a clutch of 6 eggs from a pastel pinstripe bred to a super pastel lucifer yellow belly (graveL?) and not a single one got the pinstripe. What luck haha

I saw Snake discovery showcase african soft fur extract that u can put on rats Maybe thats somethong that might work for ur picky eaters Also since ur breeding rats, maybe get a small colony of african soft furs going for the picky eaters

Hey Chris, question. I know you and other mention to have the hot spot at 90 degrees. However do you just set your thermostat at 90 and that's it? Or do you adjust the thermostat up to a certain temp. So the bottom of the tub is actually 90 degrees? Because I set mine at 90 but actual temp inside is 83-86.

You want to raise or lower your thermostat till you get the hot spot in your tub at 88-90. My thermostat is set at 96 for a89-90 hot spot in my tubs

Have you tried offering your snakes day old frozen/thawed chicks? Most people assume they should only eat rodents but there's been studies that show ball pythons actually eat a lot of birds in the wild.

I have a banana pied that only eats live rats and won't even get close to one that's F/T. I have no issue with it because he's a predator, not a scavenger. I'm a recent subscriber who likes the informative content you make. I just don't agree on the whole F/T feeding thing as a whole. Currently, my ball pythons are pets, with the intention of trying my hand at breeding this season, so they will be continued to be fed as pets and fed live. I can see F/T being a cost effective option for breeders. I can see that being used in other situations like hatchling snakes getting their first few meals, and snakes common off the "annual hunger strike" they're known for and females that just laid eggs too help her their strength back up to normal

I have a breeder banana pied girl who is named Piglet cause she will eat anything, at any time, live or frozen and she takes any leftovers if another refuses. Then I have my breeder OD Albino pied girl who will only take live white rats. Yes white rats. She will refuse any other color live rats even if mostly white with spots of other colors. I will take it out, immediately toss in an all white rat and she will take it immediately. Also I breed both this year and my banana pied girl was the only one to not go at least as of yet out of my 11 females.
