There is an opposite drawback to this cowardly one, where you are not allowed to re-capture a piece, making it the most Gigachad of them all.

A potential content you're currently missing out on is trying to guess your opponent's drawback in drawback chess
Simp threw away a (comparatively) easy challenge and got a crazy challenge instead. Truly not a coward.
After the last video, Simp's win percentage was negative 100%, in this video he lost twice, so the new win percentage: -300%.
@RandoStaRR
27 күн бұрын
He didn't lose, his internet crashed. Drawback Chess: -200% winrate; Internet: -100% winrate
Ah yes, the ultimate drawback: the internet connection
You're telling your opponent what your drawback is, so they know what rules you have to play by, so they're doing moves knowing it's protected by your limitations. It is therefore by definition, not a blunder.
You need to get better internet

Simp's internet is a coward.
I also tested out a drawback once, which was "if you can move your King, you must". So I moved my King into a corner where the only legal move was to move me into check. I thought "hah! Well since the King has no legal moves, I can move another piece now!" But nope the drawback site still forced me to move the King into check anyway, losing the game
@Dylius01

That's a ridiculous interpretation of the rules on their part. Makes the game literally unwinnable if your king ever gets freed

@RoundShades

Was thinking just reveal it no less than 3 turns before capturing either of the Royal couple. That way, he can get established before reveal, but must do it earlier if he wants to get a chance at the kill
The first challenge was just your moves, not your opponent's. So your second forward move ended it because you couldn't move anything backwards the next move. Knights would've been better there, but basically as long as you didn't push two pawns you would've been ok.
@ZincAddict
27 күн бұрын
yes, he knew all that... but wasn't sure if the game would penalize him for not being able to make a backwards move. And I'm so grateful that he didn't move a knight. I was super curious too

One one hand it was nice to see that the game actually ends when you physically can't continue, on the other hand I'd love to see you play the game until the end, it was in interesting challenge.
Drawback Chess needs to have an option that allows you to say "not pawns".
This guy literally lost on purpose just because he was curious what's going to happen. What a legend. (i would do the same)
Your internet is crushed by en passant

Don't feel the need to always reveal your drawback unless you really want to spite your opponent (or you're just showing them that it's no longer relevant). Some of the drawbacks are so hard to the point they're almost if not completely impossible without your opponent letting you win. For example Closed Book: you lose if you start your turn with an open file, Rising Waters: Every 10 turns the water level rises one rank (from your perspective) and you can't move pieces to or from the water. There's also one where must win within if I recall 16 moves which is obviously unrealistic.

That blunders a bishop, but I cannot take because of the drawback Since the drawback is revealed, I would say thats no blunder at all ;P
What did he even expect with that first game? Not being able to move anything the way the challenge states that you must obviously means a loss, as always. Did he suspect the challenge to just disappear??

Yeah, also Kb6 which opens Kg4 (protected by bishop) threatening actually taking h6...
IDK about y'all but to me it seems like a lot of the time, putting in max ELO and also revealing the challenge just makes it too hard for him to ever win. The opponent here wasn't necessarily blundering pieces; since the challenge was revealed, they were able to know that they could get away with those moves. I'd be OK with just max ELO or revealed challenge, not necessarily both. The fun of this channel (to me anyway) is watching him overcome the challenge rather than succumb to it. He should lose sometimes as victory shouldn't be a foregone conclusion, but the drawback chess website matches seem to usually result in a loss.

it's basically forcing you to play pawn - not pawn - not pawn in order to open up your back rank. once the pawns are out then it can be a somewhat normal chess game.
Every “internet crash” gets a dislike from me. :(
That first drawback is impossible if it counts the opponent's moves, you could only move one of your knights backward and forward over and over. This site is a little harsh with its drawbacks sometimes.
