Herbert will possibly be a Dan Marino or Brees or Matt Ryan or Rivers type numbers guy... challenge for OPOY sometimes but basically just a stats guy. Herbie's likely to someday get one SB title or appearance... if he's lucky. I collect Justin too, but we've just gotta be realistic... he has never even played in a playoff game yet. He plays in the same division as KC. How would Chargers ever win SBs when they won't even win their division for 90% of seasons in Herbert's career? Josh Allen is another... he was stuck in Patriot Brady's shadow awhile but now has better potential and a short window to make SB runs. A lot of NFL is not only talent but circumstance and situations. The Chargers lost an easy win-and-in against Texans last year that would've given them a wild card, but would they have gone anywhere anyways? Unfortunately for Herb, Mahomes with better talent and better team coaching/talent is not leaving the AFC West. It is really tough to win playoff games at all - much less without home games :) ...If you don't want to pay for Mahomes cards, Burrow is probably the guy who has the best chance at multiple SB and success wherever his career takes him. He wins in college and NFL, and he and Bengals basically own that division right now unless Pickett and Pitt really make strides. Joe needs to stop getting hurt tho. All in all, the prices are what they are for good reason... Mahomes has it all, Brady has the rings, Burrow is a winner but not amazing stats/health, Herbert is basically just a stats guy now (and probably for quite awhile).

I love the Kobes. i used to have a huge Kobe collection back in the day, but sold it before he retired. Man, that was not a wise decision. I have images of many of the ones I had, but dang, i miss those cards!

I know I’m going to catch flack for this, but I really struggle with how notable people in the hobby talk about their personal collection. Saying “it’s just the base rookie auto of Tatis graded 10/10” makes me feel like my own collection is closer to worthless by comparison. Sometimes I don’t think people realize how lucky they are to have the collection they do and can show off. As someone who considers themselves a mid-end collector who’s doing well in life, I wish high-end collectors came off more “grateful” for what they have. It’s truly a blessing to have the PC that Hitman Rips currently has. Any thoughts on this? I’m sorry if this reads as an annoying or judgmental comment.

Agree! Everyone has different collections, budgets, etc. I believe it’s just like everything else in life, don’t compare yourself or your collection to others. Even though my collection may seem great to some, there are plenty of other collectors that have very insane collections worth 1000 times mine! In summary, collect what you like and don’t compare yours to others! 👍🏽
