I have been telling folks that if I had to do it all again, I'd XHP my F10 before all other "MODS". I feel like the one thing I did that I felt immediately was doing XHP Stage 2. IMHO, XHP is the best mod you can feel. Been Running XHP Stage in conjunction with MHD Stage 2+ (Flex).. Love driving my F10 535i FBO..

Finally! An XHP video explaining the features WHILE driving and why you chose them for real world driving. Thank you! Also, what Shiftmap presets are you using for D-mode and for S-mode in Stage 3? I have a Supra (also ZF8 with MHD Stage 2+) and want to try these settings. Currently on Stage 2 XHP.

nice video! for when it came to initially flashing the tune did you have to connect to a battery or is it fine to flash like it’s bm3?

It’s very similar to the engine flashing, first time takes ~2 mins, any subsequent ones take 30 seconds tops. I always connect to a charger just out of paranoia, I don’t wanna break anything cuz I was too lazy to take the 20 seconds to hook it up 🤷‍♂️

does torque reduction make a huge difference with sound or power ? Or is mainly if you have jerky shifts or turbo lag ?

Thanks for this - so you didnt touch the shift map editor or reassign shift speeds? I've been trying to find the best settings for smoothness i will give tour settings a go!

I messed around with the shift speed reassignment, and I ended up liking default settings the most. Haven’t touched shift maps.

Do you see that when in DTC or DSC the shifts are very harsh? XHP stage 3 description says that this mode enables the transmission to shift in the fastest mode. It is very noticeable and your head quite literally jerks at every shift. How do you feel about it?

That’s kinda the point, if you don’t like that I’d suggest Stage 2, it’s much more tame in those modes

where’d u get the m paddle shifters(im gonna assume that’s what they are) i don’t wanna rice my wheel out but i don’t like the little oem ones. these look a lot like the ones in the f10 m5 i drove

Maybe I missed a section when you mentioned it, but I noticed with XHP Stage 2 / 3, Sport mode is pretty much useless in M mode unless you have both the chassis + drivetrain option enabled. I have Sport set to only change the chassis settings, and I noticed that in both Comfort and Sport, the shifts in M mode are horribly slow. Much slower than stock. When I went to stage 1, Sport/Comfort M mode works just as usual. Have you noticed this at all? It's the only thing keeping me at Stage 1, is how horribly slow the shifts in M mode are in all modes besides Sport+, compared to stock / stage 1 where all modes have those close to stock but still relatively snappy ZF8 shifts

Yes in stage 3, Sport mode seems to have slower shifts than stock. However if you want fast shifts without using sport+, go into Traction mode (single tap the traction control button, don’t hold it). That’ll give you sport+ shifts but with comfort everything else.

@@mevans8646 Cool cool, wasn't aware of that. It's seriously so weird to me how bad Stage 2 / 3 messes with the Comfort/Sport shifts, I noticed XHP does a lot weirder stuff with the stock maps on the ZF8 than it does with the 6

What shiftpoints are you using? I have stage 2 but at low speed the shifting feels jerky.

I’m using default shift points. They’re slightly jerky but I never found them too bad.

Would these settings be similar in a rwd M340i LCI?

Maybe but I don’t know for sure, you have an updated engine and transmission so it might be slightly different.

You should ditch the background music when talking, does nothing but distract you from just listening to what you're saying.

I try to keep the volume low enough to not be totally distracting, thanks for the feedback though. Will keep that in mind!

just a quick question don’t run burble settings on mhd or do u not have the burbles. if you do have the burble settings what are your durations or how aggressive do u have it as?

I had none in this video, I usually don’t run them but I have a burble map available whenever I want in my Multimap settings.

XHP is independent of MHD. Burble settings are only adjusted in MHD.

There’s not too many settings to go over with MHD, I’m just stage 2 with OEM burbles. But I can certainly do a long term review.

Probably, but may not be 100% the same. At worst, it would be a good baseline to adjust from there for your own car.

@@JustLuuchi yup… I tried it last night on my way to work. It actually does feel good. The best way to explain how the car feels. At least to me it feels smooth like when your in comfort mode with transmission shifter to the left. Also when I downshift the car doesn’t jump forward. I actually like it. By the way my car is a 2015 f30 335i. My mods are bm3 stage 2+ multimap, bm3 flex fuel kit, dorch stage 2.5 hpfp, bm3 chargepipe, vrsf catless downpipe and vrsf race intercooler the biggest one and am always running e50. I don’t know your mods on your car but from my understanding, the car will react differently depending on how much power your car is actually making . Also there is another KZreadr name stephansb58 look him up. I actually copied his settings except for the M throttle blips. I just change my xHP settings to this KZreadr settings becuase he explained it better. When I get off work I will flash again the new settings and test them out. I’ll let you know. But it does feel good. Try them bro
