I never comment on videos but this was EXTREMELY nostalgic for me as well! I have been a viewer since you high school videos when I myself was in middle school. Crazy that I’m watching this in my big girl apartment while making myself dinner after work. We both made it Katy 🤍

Regarding the pill: I'm 40 and had been on the pill since I was 15 (!) which is WILD. I was so scared about how my body was going to react and I was ready to try any supplements, vitamins, etc. to combat the horrible symptoms I was convinced I would have. Luckily, everything has been great, and while I know this isn't the case for everyone, I would say give it a try if it's something you're interested in doing. I've been off for about six months now and I do still get the occasional hormonal chin acne, and other pimples here or there (I swear by Proactiv's repairing cream. I've used since I, also, 15) but nothing like I thought. My periods are still super regular and not bad side effects so far :)

Been following you for a good 10 years now on KZread and this was such a nice and nostalgic video! I truly admire your self-growth over the years (and kind of wish that I had spent my twenties similarly, but wellohwell, too late now). 😊 I also spent my best years hating myself and now looking back, I wish I could get close to the same clothing size!

Loved this! “Leadley” used to do videos to her future self and respond- they were always some of my favorites. I feel like you would love to do that kind of video. Just as a way to see how things change/grow etc.

“How I look is the least interesting thing about me.” So true, I’ve learned this myself. Seems to be something we don’t learn to accept until at least 25.

When I came off the pill my skin broke out a lot, I waited a few months and then got an IUD which was not nearly as bad as I thought! Keep in mind no one posts their positive experiences online

I went off the pill after being on it for 7 years and it is true about the skin flair ups lol I would say there were a solid 6 months or more where I got a lot of acne around my jawline and the sides of my face. I ended up getting a prescription acne cream to help, but I think around the year mark it started to ease up, I actually ended up going back on the pill for mood reasons but if you really want to try going off the pill I would prepare for your skin to go through changes.

Sweet video :) Yes, your skin will likely explode when you come off the pill, but then you can actually work to help your skin! Putting young girls on the pill for their acne is putting a bandaid on the issue and not addressing the root of the problem (plus messing with your entire body because you = your hormones). Hell, there are even doctors hypothesizing that being on the pill will attract you to the wrong partners. TL;DR: I came off the pill in December 2016 and got the Mirena IUD and my skin blew up by May 2018. But I worked with holistic doctors to totally cleared my skin (after being told by a dermatologist that I'd have to be on the pill until menopause to clear my skin!). Luckily, when I had my IUD removed in October 2022, my skin hasn't yet blown up again!

just for your info, as an Italian I can say that no Italian woman would shave their arm hair. it is just not a thing here; we either wax them or leave them with hair 😊
