I am absolutely delighted that you are getting back into your music the way you are. Watching you compile (if that’s the right word for it) your song with voice and adding in the instrumental tracks I found very interesting. Quite the job transferring the files over to the new software, but it will be so worth it especially now that you’re talking about a website. Very cool! So I don’t think Willa wanted to get up. Like you, I get stuck if you know what I mean… now that I’m on the mend to almost 100%,I’m slowly getting much needed cleaning done, and spent a couple of afternoons working in my courtyard and the flower pots in front of my gate to brighten up and clean up. It’s cold here but I feel blessed. Back to walking Lilly each day now. Slow at times but moving lol. Keep your face to the sun and enjoy each day. 😘🤗💫🐕

Good Sunday morning my Lovely Miss Ida, We've had a good snow storm here in Iowa with subzero temps. As I was freezing this morning getting going late in the camper you and your music have warmed me, Thank You! With all the love you have and give to all your babies and to us, I am so grateful to have you in my life. As I wait for the plow truck to clean the road and I dig out the blazer from it's parking spot I will think of you and your music so I can get to town and buy more propane. I cannot wait for your new album! As I ride, sometimes music blares from my speakers and other times it's only playing in my headset but it lifts my ride and my love for nature I get to ride through. Honestly I blare music when I ride through towns because it's so contrary to the biker folks see going past. For years I rode only listening to the engine and what nature could be heard, but now I am blessed with the songs you create. As a carnivore I actually miss my green house and garden and all the foods my children and I harvested. I envy you Dear LADY, such a Beautiful life you have made. I pray more people appreciate you! I love studio's, Not that I know what to do there, I just love the environment. Since I grew up in Detroit in the 60's & 70's it's no wonder how much I love music and all type's. I can appreciate most all music. When it comes to laundry detergent's I use Earth Breeze laundry sheets. No more plastic jugs. 😠 We have to much plastic in our lives. Love your photography. 😉💞😘

Yes, too much plastic out there yet. Another reason why I like to reuse and that’s wonderful what you’re using for your detergent I couldn’t believe the reaction I had and I had only bought the detergent for when I went camping and I never used it so I tried it, and it felt like poison ivy all over my arms, and Body it was rough! You take care oh, and yes, the music the music from the 60s 70s and I love the 80s there’s some 90s as well but I know what you mean!😉

Oh Ida! I so feel your pain in trying to get all of those old files transferred! I have literally hundreds if not thousands of hours of video tape that I have been doing the same thing with. Mostly video of hunting & fishing adventures. Trying to play back those old tapes on antiquated equipment then capturing them to transfer to digital formats is not only tedious, it is maddening as well! However, I know you have some amazing content archived and we all are so looking forward to you sharing it with us! Thank You for taking the time! OH BILL!!! How funny you mentioned this because last winter that’s what I did (!!!!!) was go through all my VHS tape to do exactly what you’re doing. It was so much work. I think it took me two months and I was doing it every day. I got so sick of it! I found the coolest little piece of equipment that I could just let the tapes run and then be digitalized that made it so much easier than sitting there going through it all because it’s easier to go fast forward through digital files than the VHS. This was a great video, I really like your studio and this gave me a much better idea of how much work it is to get a song from conception to finish and also the time period , using things previously recorded for later use. Finding inspiration sometimes can be so easy, when it flows and other times it just doesn't come. It all needs to happen in it's own time. I'm still amazed what all came out of the 50's to the 70's. Hope you see this. Thank you, Ida, for this video. love your singing, and playing and writing. I have 3 guitars that I am not playing. {2 acoustic, 1 electric} Time for that to change. I'm thinking that if I get some basic recording gear it will entice and inspire me to write {and play} more. I have several songs that aren't finished. The songs, like my playing, start and then I just blank out. Hopefully, I get inspired to at least play/practice. I'm 71 and have nothing but time. Lots of it. I THINK too much and DO little. Can't exercise because of lower back problems. I'm going online window shopping when I'm done here. Watching you walk in the snow was peaceful and inspiring as well. It's cold up here on the mountain this morning, I ran out of sunflower seeds so I put a few scoops of my cooked rice and venison out for the birds. they showed up early today. well, I just saw the redheaded woodpecker grab a hunk of venison, so it looks like the birds are figuring out whats for breakfast here today. Ooh I allready love that song, so beautiful!! What a lot of work and time it takes, day after day week after week. You're really knocking it out of the park girl🎉🎉 How great this is, after 3 years of waiting you're finally doing it, chapeau! Can't wait till the final result. @@LadyoftheFarm thank you, but the lab is actually two years old. My brother in law passed away and we took his dog and cat. Now we have six cats and two dogs! So far the dog is learning to not chase the kitties, but the new kitty has been a challenge and will need some kitty Prozac unfortunately before introduction.

Good Morning Ida , what a great video this week it really shows us what makes you tick. So much work and time goes into your creative endeavors and it is so interesting to see how you create your music right down to the nuts and bolts. I know exactly what you’re talking about when you actually have to take the time to create your music and even your videos… I have a real appreciation for the effort you put into it. I have been putting off going through the process of learning how to edit and upload files in creating my own KZread channel… It seems there’s always something else in real life that gets in the way. Seeing your video is inspiring me to finally get off my butt and take the plunge.… Thank you for that. With all that goes on in your life with caring for your animals and making sure they are well cared for and then there is yourself. Good morning Ida, enjoyed the video. Your new song is sounding good. Looking forward to the finished product. I was wandering about all your recording equipment? I'm wandering what would be the best piece I could buy to Play and sing into to record and put my music in note form on paper? You seem very knowledgeable about music. I've written several songs now. I get a lot of joy creating new songs, My guitar playing is coming along slowly. I got a lot of chords I can play and sing with, I need to start on the flat picking and the Travis picking. Oh that’s wonderful Gary I’m so proud of you for sticking to it and building on your talent. I know there’s a software out there that will notate Music for you. I don’t know if that’s something you’re interested in. I think it’s called Sibelius. Also focusrite makes an interface for the computer (I have the red piece sitting on my desk that’s one of theirs ) that’s rockin rockin great and so affordable, look into that because there are several and that would be perfect. I did not know about soap foam, but this is all natural Castile, which is mainly coconut oil but thank you for that I will look into it! I assume you use that PA board just for when Ted Nugent comes over for a live jam. Listened with the good headphones, of course. The mics sound great . Did you add in some phase shifter at around 11:10 (second verse) ? Love that dreamy ambient sound. Yeah I make my own detergent too, I just use Zote. Just mopped the floor with it. What castille soap do you use? Right when I started to listen to your track, the damn "survivor" squirrel started gnawing in the ceiling. So behold my new Mac Guyver invention: Introducing .... The Diffuser Line! (TM) . Run a 3/4" air hose out of a good diffuser that actually creates a fine mist. Fill with 100% peppermint oil . drill hole in sheetrock and run that hose up into there. The gnawing stopped. (they also may be annoyed by the vibrational humming noise) . No more standing on a crate with spray bottles, all pissed off. just turn it on for like 20 minutes.

The peppermint is definitely the ticket. Good job! I did not add any phase. In fact I’ve really only added Reverb and you’ll hear today. If you see this comment today on February 3 part of the final song is going to be in the new video I love these mics I’ve had really nice akg mics but these are much better That mixer I use for live the big big speakers are Mackie powered they go with that mixer it’s so awesome for live, but in the future, I could actually just be using my software! ♥️

@@LadyoftheFarm very cool, I thought about doing monitors, but a lot of guys say nah just use the headphones . GarageBand has all the effects I could ever want , and I figured out how to jam with virtual bass and drums which is fun sometimes.

Thank you so much! I will post the laundry detergent recipe. I am so sorry I didn’t do that I didn’t even think! I’ll put it in the description of this video but just to let you know, I dissolve a bar of Castile soap per gallon of water I dilute that dissolved Castile liquid with more water in that gallon jug. I was adding arm and hammer washing soap powder, but I think I’m gonna actually stop using that and put a little white vinegar with the Casteel dissolved bar.😁

I do have one album there but I soon will have a website where things are going to be easier to get to and winter has now arrived. Could you share your exact laundry soap recipe here with us? I too have very sensitive skin that acts up in cold weather, and could use an alternative to commercial laundry soap. I apologize I’m so behind on doing the things you ask and I really want to 🤗the brand that I use that really got me was actually an arm and hammer but it was somehow amped up. I was very surprised! And I’m using Castile soap bars, and I dissolve them in gently boiling water, and I dilute them with more water in the jugs …that actually is enough but I also add, the old arm & Hammer washing soap that’s powder. I may stop using that and just do the Castile,. In fact one woman was so kind enough to leave a comment saying she only uses white vinegar. I’m actually gonna be doing that Some as well and I do do add vinegar to some of my laundry.🥰
