My Orchestra Pit Setup!

Музыка

In a rare turn of events, I’m actually talking to the camera! A lot of people have been asking about my keyboard rig, so here is a video showing everything that we are using! This is my setup for Once Upon a Mattress at Youngstown State University.
My setup is very similar to one you’d see on Broadway or in a professional orchestra pit: a keyboard running MainStage (or another software) with additional hardware for patch control (volume, advancing patches, etc.). I made these patches from scratch, so you can’t find this MainStage file anywhere. I will be making some upgrades soon, so check back for an updated rig tour!
I also forgot to mention these things as well:
-on the patches, the m. numbers (m.21 for example) is the measure that that patch is used. Any measures with a decimal attached denote what beat a gliss is triggered.
-the pedal I use to change the patches is the PageFlip Firefly connected via a USB cable.
UPDATE: If you find yourself in the same situation and need to program a harp MainStage file with glissando triggers, don’t fret! Here is where I got the coding, which was generously published online for free! I will make a video in the future showing my process of making patches.
