@@hermiona1147 Cthun wasn't really a control deck, more a midrange one Elysiana was natural mill with an extra step, that's hardly a wincon The "traditional" control warrior doesn't have a wincon beside "I'll live longer than you" most of the time tbh

Alextrasza + gromm+ innerrage/crueltaskmaster/etc were prety much a winconditon against control and midrange kinda decks back then

I love this new villain arc for Chump

You're the perfect pilot for this kind of disruption deck because of your knowledge of the decks in the meta and your analytical abilities. I'll bet you're good at chess. Also yeah, that last lethal was amazing.

I mean chess is not about analytical thinking but about finding patterns. Now that sounds similar but it is not the same thing. If you start learning chess as a toddler, you will be godlike at it, if you keep at it constantly that is. No matter if you are smart or good at analyzing. From the age of 3 to adult hood, you are a titled player for sure. If you start as an adult, playing is easy, but playing well is almost impossible no matter how smart you are.

Soul Seeker is in a Chump's start deck, it wasn't generated by another card, so it makes sense why it wasn't destroyed.

@@le_Gush Ehh, the card text still needs rewording. "... that didn't start there" doesn't really imply "that didn't start in either" to me, which would be a more accurate description. I'm not bothered by the fact that the card works the way it does, but the card text is needlessly misleading.

That's the best Shoulder Check I've ever seen! It's also the only Shoulder Check I've ever seen.

This is the kind of deck that you hate to play against but it's so entertaining to watch.

Now Chump was definitely recruited to the side of evil.

Lol "zero sum game," that is some dark gaming philosophy.

This kinda reminds me of a magic deck I built once. Basically, out of the 40 non-land cards, about 20 were some kind of removal. It ran cards to look at the enemy hand and choose a card to discard. It had cards that removed a card of my choosing in their deck from the game. About 6 board clears. And tons of removals, of course. To make matters worse, it also had a lot of healing that made it hard for aggressive strategies to punch through. And the main wincon of the deck was a card that, whenever it enters the battlefield, it dealt 1 damage to the opponent and healed me for 1. And it had an ability that allowed me to remove it from play and make it come back at the end of the turn. In magic, such abilities can be used at any time, so that ability made the card pretty invincible - whenever you use a removal on it, Id just remove it with that ability in responce, making the removal "fizzle" cause it had no target anymore. And then youd lose 1 health. And I will gain 1 health. Do that 20 times and you win. I won a lot of local tourneys with that deck, but I suspect I made some enemies xD

I love combo-killer decks. Delicious to see those one-sided match lovers get a taste of their own medicine. "OH NO, I HAVE TO INTERACT WITH MY OPPONENT, WAAAAAAAAAAH"

I tried to make a disrupt Warrior just a few days ago but with little success, I think I went too hard on the theme and didn't include enough armor and removal. Why no Okani though? He's pretty disruptive, fits the theme nicely.

Hey, Chump, nice idea for the deck, I like it! Just wanted to add that Shellfish Priest has 3 vital combo pieces: Valishj (0 mana 1/1), Brann and Hero card. The best thing you were offered from Theotar was probably the Whirlpool, which potentially could kill their Brann, if yours stayed alive. Without Brann they can't double Xyrella. Edit: Oh, never mind, they did it themselves! Edit #2: They must be playing some other version of that deck, strange. Brann, Valishj and Xyrella must be the optimal build, especially now with everyone having 40 hp/cards.

Steamcleaner is a prime example of why the paradigm "we would rather have card text simple than precise" is stupid. Gigafin is another one. Why does he "spit your minions back out" for your opponent when you steal him?

Anyone know what Brann + Soul Seeker does? Tried googling and turned up nothing.

Considering most minion cards that can remove minions are high cost, would this be somehow fun by just destroying your deck by playing Fires of Zin-Ashari like Warrior has conqueror's banner that can joust things up, and most of the times people have more cards that can cost less than five and you are more likely draw 3 5 minions that cost 5

Silence priest with xyrella overdraw as a win condition. Little weak to theotar but has a chance against aggro. Not a good chance though.

Yeah chumps mostly just showed wins against aggro pretty much, and even then it's close. The meta is just too cancer for control warrior to exist

Cause that doesn't actually help to resolve the board, steam cleaner does. Your play is sort of all in hoping for a shield shatter or something, chump was trying to find a way to actually clear

ah so the plan was to use soul seeker and then destroy the seeker with steam cleaner? that would have been really cool if that worked, but maybe a little too busted... maybe though it's not working as intended? still I think 1 x steam cleaner is worth it as these thief style decks are pretty popular right now. I think really something to deal with naga priest is more needed though, so having a silence is likely going to be needed going forward. I have a feeling that ramp druid is going to make a come back after the hunter nerfs. as stuff like control shaman is starting to become way more popular again, ramp druid hunts these slower decks quite well... druid also has a new silence minion, which will be great for against the naga priests... I think maybe running a starfish might become prevalent again though, as being able to silence their whole board will be very useful... also Mage decks are becoming very popular again, so being able to negate freeze-effects is also going to be very useful. I know I'm going to be playing some kind of ramp druid, and will likely tech in a starfish, as well as the new silence minion that druid has. My favourite druid deck is still the big spell one you made though, would love to see an updated version of that (if you think it can be improved)
