It took me 4 weeks to finally watch this video but I'm so glad I finally did. Seeing that other miku fans are almost borderline insane about her and to know I'm not alone when all I wanna do is talk about miku sometimes even if the situation doesn't call for it. Seeing all the miku references and outfits in the video and recognizing them was a blast. I've liked Miku since 2020 but I only really really gotten back into vocaloid because of project sekai. (which you should totally check out) bit yes, seeing I'm not the only one who jumps up and down upon seeing miku anything is nice. Hopefully one day I will see a miku concert

I have no where near the passion for vocaloid but hearing you describe the first time you've connected with music made me tear up. (GOD DAMN HORIMONE TREATMENT) like I was sad when you opened by saying you'd never experienced that and hearing you kinda giddy even while recording made me tear up. Finding that one thing that connects really is amazing.

I’ve been listening to Vocaloid music for like 15 years now and I’m so jealous you got to experience a live concert!! I do love a good amount of Vocaloid but I’m not the best at liking all of the music, so I just feel like I wouldn’t have as much fun ;w; so maybe it’s good that I haven’t been to one, lol. But I’m so glad you got to really experience that feeling of community from really liking a certain song or genre! Hell, that kind of stuff even works with other mediums, that’s what communities are for! It really is such a beautiful thing though, isn’t it? To be around a bunch of people who all have the same passion for something as you do. It truly is magical, how we can connect so well as humans over things like this :) also, I recognized those three songs you mentioned that were old as fuck, I love those songs! Crime and Punishment is my favorite one out of those three ❤ Btw, I do love me some Miku, but Len Kagamine is my favorite Vocaloid! I’d freak out if I got to see him live. He’s my favorite singer ever, I just think he has such a beautiful voice 🥰 Also, please don’t feel ashamed of listening to game OSTs, I listen to video game music all the time, and so does my bf! as a teen now, its gotten a lot better. Theres this kid at my school that coming in anime cosplay every single day. Hes awesome. I like talking about my interests with my theater club mates. Im actually doing a fandom swap with a friend where im going to read some SCP stuff and he'll read some marvel fanfics. With the acceptance of queer people came the acceptance of other nerdy stuff. Tons of people wear awesome punk clothing and have funky hair or make up. Its a norm to have a spiderman or bluey backpack. Its really great seeing all the different styles, not to mention all the body positive stuff.

My favorite Hatsune Miku related story is the time I was looking at a miku figure at a con and a hatsune miku cosplay came up to me, put their hand and my shoulder, and then told me "that miku figure is a b tier. Its not very good and super over priced. You only want that for about 15-20 dollars." Then they told me about how they only get certain figure for a certain price because they research what their worth. Where ever you are hatsune miku cosplayer, you are my hero!

I literally knew nothing about Hatsune Miku before clicking on this video, yet every single video of yours I watch makes me so engaged and interested in topics I never would've explored otherwise. I don't get this obsession in particular, but the thing this makes me think of is Adventure Time. I've had so many people tell me they don't get the show or that it's dumb when I could go on about that show for DAYS! I love hearing people share the things they're passionate about! And as someone who can feel music in my bones, I love that you got to experience that in a medium that spoke to you.

I was not expecting you to say fall out boy was a random band 😭 They were my first and only concert, great music and band 😊👍

This Hatsune Miku playlist is really good! Never really listened to her music before. But all of it just sounds like a great variety of like a set of different anime soundtrack vibes. Which I can really get into. So thank you for introducing me formally to a great selection of her music! Plus, it's pretty great as since there's so many different artists that utilize her Vocaloid there's a great variety in the styles of music that are presented.

someone NEEDS to tell jaiden about the project diva games, theyre rhythm games with miku and her songs in it, and in the older games (AKA not megamix or future tone) you can hang out with the vocaloids in their rooms, give them presents, pat them on the head (i think that one started in project diva F?) etc., and on top of that you can make your own music videos with the models and see other people’s MVs too!!! dont even get me started on the spinoff project mirai on the 3ds, a miku rhythm game with optional touchscreen controls where you can give your vocaloid food and money and furniture like ur own virtual pet?? i think its right up her alley!!! EDIT: i forgot project sekai/colorful stage exists too, its a free mobile game with a bunch of human characters in bands along with the vocaloids, i haven’t played it but that game seems fun too!!

thank you for starting off with Kikuo. Kikuo is the weird stuff i love so much, but would never show my friends, even the ones that kinda enjoy vocaloid.

I only listened to video game soundtrack and deephouse beats. Effect of psychological rough times of traumas, neglect and self-isolation as a kid. After a long self-healing process since 4 yrs I find interest in music with vocals and lyrics. Now that you mentioned your an anxiety and what else you had to endure back in your childhood... I feel you.

Jaiden talking about how she didn’t realize how much she loved Hatsune Miku *until* that moment when the concert was starting is exactly how I felt when I went to my first Miku Expo. Seeing the crowd fill up with the teal glow of everyone’s glowsticks, being surrounded by other fans just as excited as you - it made me almost tear up when Miku showed up and I found myself aggressively waving my glowstick along with everyone else while screaming the lyrics of the song. I didn’t realize how much I truly loved Miku and the other vocaloids till I went to Miku Expo, it was just amazing!

I’ve been listening to that playlist, and I’d like to say that you have officially turned me into a Miku fan

I'm a music teacher, and I just wanted to say your joy and passion for Miku is exactly what I wanna instill in my students. I don't want them to like violin or piano, I don't want them to like the artists I also like. I👏🏼want👏🏼them👏🏼to like👏🏼MUSIC👏🏼. Through whatever outlet they can. I want them to enjoy whatever organized wiggly air they encounter and understand how important and wonderful music is in our lives. Hearing you say how you weren't too into it in the beginning, then developing into the "I get it now" feeling you experienced at the concert made me very happy. Because that's what I hope my students and anyone experiences as well. Also I loved your shout-out to bass players, very wholesome.

I wish that had been my experience learning music - being given the opportunity to find out what my music was, as opposed to just "and now for grade 5, you can choose between these three arbitrary classical pieces." Music education I think suffers from the same problem as English studies, which is that the people who design curriculae are obsessed with the socially acceptable historical greats - your Shakespeares and your Mozarts. And so every kid gets taught pretty much exclusively these people's works, even though in real-taste terms they're very niche and not relevant at all to modern audiences until you already know enough about the subject to understand what makes them good.

ORGANIZED WIGGLY AIR I LOVE IT Honestly thank you for what you do. My choir teacher DEGRADED her students to the point that anyone NOT her favorite DROPPED. OUT. She treated us to ‘a professional work environment'. She also ruled musicals with an iron fist. My dad had seizures when I was growing up and had a head injury that he had an appointment for during my practice. (My teacher would be apoplectic if you tried to skip for A N Y reason.) I told her I had to leave and when we came back my dad wanted to apologize for taking me away and wanted to explain. I didn't want him to hear my choir teacher but he came in anyways. She was SCREAMING at the students that I shouldn't have left, that no one else can leave, not for work, not for homework, no one else could leave until they had gotten it PERFECT. My dad was pissed. He ripped into her (which she deserved) and she never did it again while I was in school. I still never really sung much after as I thought I sounded horrible, but now I do sound horrible ✌🏻

I'm a huge music lover and I also hate the "What music do you listen to" question, because I never have any idea how to answer it and always think of a better answer afterwards 😭

Same. I'm firmly convinced that that question only works for people who listen specifically to one of the broad and easily recognizable genres. Whether you don't have a favorite because you don't really listen to music or because you listen to three different genres and four weird categories that defy genres but are somehow etched in your soul, the question can't be answered. One of my worst carpooling experiences was when it was my turn to pick the music for the ride and I spent forever scrutinizing the horrible gremlin amalgamations that are my spotify playlists before deciding that "game soundtracks" probably was normal enough. (it was not)

A lot of my music is so personal to me so I really struggled to find anything that I felt represented my taste well, and also wasn't super personal/emotional. I ended up shuffling some random song from my Spotify, and immediately thought of 10+ other songs I wished I would have shown them. 😂😭

Same here! Mine was Sparks. Once I heard their first song I was hooked and finally started listening to music outside of instrumental and movie/video game scores. I ended up listening to all of their albums which ended up being a lot since they have been playing since the 60s lol

when i read the title in my recommendations i was like yea same. I love her. I love Luka equally! i havent watched you in years but here i am i guess you like youtube videos more than music, i like watching colors more than just white and the smallest pop of a blank bright color when i watch a youtube video. /j/nbr (love ya girl even if im not a consistent viewer.)

This video was so inspiring! I had to do a similar project for English, and I also did it on Hatsune Miku! I played them part of a concert, showed them some concert moves, and even got them to laugh! It was so fun!

I’m such a big vocaloid fan because I got into vocaloid at my worst stage of life and Miku literally told me “Girl, don’t die I’m not in hell” and I’m pretty sure I’ll DEFINETLY go to at least one vocaloid concert in my life because IT SAVED ME

Also I will say that shows are 100% better when the crowd that youre packed in with are great. I've been to shows that were ruined from people who were 100% uninterested in the show and were there for the bar or because they were bored, smaller artists shows obviously, but when your surrounded by people who are as passionate as you are for the artists performing , there's a new level of enjoyment that can only be reached being in that cloud of like-minded energy. Especially when you didn't realize there was so many fans of something/someone you were a huge fan of, only to show up at some little venue packed with cool people wearing merch you didn't know existed for said music, all Loving every track, Theres this internet radio that I used to listen to every single week that had music shows , they just posted on soundcloud and Apple store , eventually got some deal with redbull to get a bigger studio and did occasional interviews, they'd bring on artists and let them put the entire line up together with short interludes of conversation between the origional host and the guest artist, I'm from a small town and had never met anyone who was into the type of music that it was, so going to see a live performance version of the internet radio show sounded like a fun little deal , and it was in a much bigger city, and it was amazing to be just dropped into a sea of like-minded music loving people , especially when any other day of the year youre the spicy weirdo who likes music other than radio top hits or classic rock. I mean.. I relate to this , Is what I'm saying ..lol

I really enjoyed watching this video :D. And I understand your excitement about Hatsune Miku, because I have similar thing with Megurine Luka which is my favorite vocaloid :).

i love vocaloid sm I'd LOVE to go to a Miku concert one day. only concert I've ever been to is Owl City and he's like the only music artist I really like and follow along with so when u were describing how you felt at the Miku concert I knew EXACTLY how u felt like youre surrounded by so many ppl who love the same thing as you and its such a powerful feeling. i rlly felt it w Owl City bc not a lot of ppl r into him and seeing the venue we were at just filled with people who love him made me so EMOTIONAL. I would love to experience it with Vocaloid too. and ur so right that being into it is a double edged sword my bank account hates me so much
