Fifth floor walk up. I can relate! My first apartment in NY was a fifth floor walk up on East 83rd . That was 1973!

Great advice!

Indoor air plants ... Like the snake plant or palm plant . Something with low watering . Get photos of your home city and put it on the wall

Thats why i live iN Florida.In Tampa, with that price, you get a full apartment 2 or 3 beds.Whide space, terrace.A kitchen where u can dance and private laundry.Ny is becoming a city for the bankers, investors , movie stars and really rich people.

These videos make me feel good about my apartment

👍🏾 Nice little apartment! It's great that you have a dishwasher AND a microwave in your kitchen. Many studio apartments don't have both, especially a dishwasher.

Have fun finding art in a furniture thrift shop. I am particular about what goes on my walls, but I have found some nice pieces of art at Goodwill. Yes you can print off art, just don't do your whole apartment that way. Mix it up. Advice from a 73 year old lady!

Thanks! This was the first vid of yours I found through NYC apartment search vlogs so I hadn’t seen the one where you said where you bought the sofa 😂.

Some art on the walls would show a bit more of your personality and still keep open feel. Nice space though. Side note--even though you are a guy I still don't think it is a good idea to show exactly where you live. Someone could easily determine that by the show of the buildings outside and you saying what street you lived on. But, hey, I am a paranoid old lady. I saw some of your earlier videos. Hope you are feeling more settled. Flea markets for art. Go to antique malls. You can find some great original stuff. Just go with your gut. Art will speak to you and it won't look cookie-cutter. I like succulents for plants. I seem to kill everything else.

Hey - good question! I got lucky - they only increased it $50. So I'm paying $2300 now per month. Best of luck in your search!

Hi Ricky! Happy to! I searched daily on Streeteasy. I would message a combination of brokers and landlords to view apartments. The one I found - I worked with a broker. She would send me apartments before they were listed on Streeteasy. That's how I got my current apartment.
