Hi Claire! Nursery looks amazing and you do too. The thing that surprised me a lot with my baby who's now almost 1 Is that babies get cold pretty easily. I had mine in august and she had cold feet and hands. They were blue if I didn't keep socks and baby mitts on her. This lasted for the first month or so and then their bodies learn how to regulate. Also, if you are going to breastfeed, you'll want things to soothe your nipples. They'll be cracked and in pain! Best tip was regular neosporin for the nips. I had all kinds of creams, etc but this healed them up the best and is safe for the baby. Just the plain kind was what my Lactation consultant recommended. One last thing: you may get the baby blues and it's totally ok! I cried a lot for about 6 weeks after having a baby. It's a hormonal let down and no one tells you about this until after you give birth. You're on a huge high before he comes and then your hormones drop and you are crying all the time for no good reason. It will pass! Hopefully you won't have it at all but just an FYI. Fingers crossed for an easy, safe child birth.

The nursery looks great! It's definitely a good looking and peaceful room. I don't know how you do not have more subscribers. Your work is spectacular!! Claire- this nursery is the perfect combination of sweet/childlike and grown up chic! You did an amazing job. I love your affinity for books, I also kept all my childhood books to give my kids one day (my dad thought I was being completely unreasonable, but I'm showing him this video to validate my decision lol). Also, the pop up Pinocchio book is such a cute decor idea. I don't have any children, but if I can give any advice it would be to buy Baby James the Magic Treehouse book series. I think you'll really enjoy it- it's about siblings Jack and Annie who's family moves into a house with a treehouse that doubles as a time machine (just go with it). So in each book they travel to a different historical period- ex. Mummies in the Morning, Dinosaurs before Dark, Christmas in Camelot. They are little chapter books that I think I started reading in 1st grade. Congrats again! :)

Swaddles/swaddle pods and a vibrating chair/swing were life savers for us. My oldest had severe colic and our second was premature and had lactose issues so those items were life lines at time!!

Whether or not you choose to breastfeed a Boppy Pillow is always handy. It helps you hold your baby comfortably when sitting down and is a good aid for tummy time on the floor.

I agree that a rocking chair is a must, you will find it so soothing for the baby and yourself, trust me ;) The books are priceless, what fun it will be to re-read all of them to your son. You are simply radiant, cannot wait to meet your new addition~Hahaha, love Buster...my dog even reacted when you squeaked the toy!

The nursery is beautiful! I'm so happy for you and your husband! Be sure to stock up on burp cloths because the spit up/reflux game IS REAL! Lemme tell ya...🙄🙏🏼 Swaddles are also nice. My friend gave me a pair of them that's super easy to use! I believe it was the Granimals brand? 🤔 My husband and so also love our Graco 4ever all-in-one car seat because it'll grow with baby. Just like your stokke high chair! 😃 Easy installation, not complicate at all!

I checked out your blog as well to see if you had anything linked - it would be amazing to see the name / make / model of your crib. No body has this info in their nursery tour and the links just take you to your target's web page and not the crib itself. As there is such a big variety of cribs and the different price ranges are so different - I'm surprised that no body mentions this.

Loved it, such a pretty room. But can't seem to find the links though?!?
