Being a punter/kicker in the NFL is the hardest thing. Most teams only have one of each. Being able to say that you were at least one of the top 50ish punters IN THE WORLD is a huge accomplishment.

russell knipscheer there’s no guarantee that you will be a good kicker if you’re good at soccer. I know a great soccer player, he is 14 and plays 19u, and i can kick footballs better than he can and I’ve never played soccer.

Exactly, and a lot of people in this comment section don’t know that Matt Haack (the starting punter for the dolphins) is a pretty damn good punter already. Stone said it himself that he was brought in to make Haack better, it’s just the way it is sometimes.

After being eliminated from the state soccer tournament my senior year the first thing my coach said to me on the bus back home was “you’re a great athlete but you didn’t have what it takes to be an all star in this league” a year later I walked on to a D1 school as a freshmen and started every game my first season. Best advice I ever got was “don’t let what someone thinks of you define who you are” you didn’t come this far to only get this far! Head up brother! You’ll find a team soon❤️

nccchicko no longer playing man. Tragically one of my friends I made that year took his life during the school year. I transferred schools with the hopes of going to med school and studying the effects of depression and how to combat it

Bro the fact that you were able to get invited to an NFL camp is huge. It says that you were one of the top ST players in the country. Don’t give up. The XFL is starting up! They start play in February and the goal is to give guys like yourself the exposure they need in the big stage and be a viable spring football alternative.
