I had something very similar happen, also a home invasion... maybe even a bit more traumatic (not trying to compare trauma, it's all valid) and the psychological effects are profound. You are not the same person before and after. You just cannot be. And your brain fragments. Especially if you do not get therapy or are not supported in going to therapy. I wish her well and that her PTSD doesn't ruin her life too much. It's a lifelong journey of staying healthy and you can be triggered at any time.. and sometimes you get triggered worse the older you get- it's a terrible disease. Same goes for Ariana Grande and any other trauma survivors - we got this! This might sound weird... but I didn't get the right support after it happened, so reading these comments where people are supporting Kim also are helping me. We just need a little kindness in this world.

"just prepare yourself" absolutely broke me, the amout of people who had to go through this just breaks my heart.

She was just uncomfortable about getting emotional. She likes to be in control. Same thing happened to Ariana G when she gave an award speech. She chastised herself for getting upset and made it seem like feelings are for losers. It’s the saddest thing when people can’t embrace their pain, suffer through it honestly, and come out the other end with healing.

Idc how you feel about her. This story is universally impactful for any woman. When she said “ Okay this is the time I'm gonna get raped. This is the time it's gonna happen.” Really hit home. Thank God it didn't happen. Every woman is raised to be terrified of the time it could happen and are trained to make sure it never happens. But it still does. Kim’s story is why we put our keys between our fingers walking alone at night even though we know it not effective. it's why when are afraid to live on a first floor of an apartment. Everytime I see this interview I get teary. For the victims of rape but also for all of us. This is a nightmare and I will(hopefully) never understand how she got past it. She has to have 50+ security guards everywhere always now.

I used to have a client at my work who was a victim to an armed robbery in a bank, she tells her story the exact same way she did when she had to tell the investigators. She can’t be left alone in the room when she has her eyelashes tinted and can’t have a face mask that covers her eyes and lips because it gives her flashbacks and anxiety and sometimes panic attacks as well

nani Oh yes the flashbacks are the worst. I usually have them if I see someone in balaclava. Makes it even harder when it was an inside job and someone you had the utmost trust in steals from you. Trust issues. PTSD. On medication for it. I saw him at a restaurant about 5 years ago and had a panic attack. People like that ruin your life and for what? Just to steal money? They should have rotted away in jail for life as far as I’m concerned.

At the end of the day, I feel like people forget that she is still a human being just like all of us.

I think being a woman is difficult for one reason: rape. I feel like we have this fear of possibly getting raped at the back of our heads almost all the time when we are outside of our homes. The amount of fear varies depending on the settings, like if you are out with your friends at night, the risk/fear is higher, and just grabbing lunch or coffee in daylight, less(but still there). I also think men might find rape to be just sex without consent but it's so different from sex and it has a whole different fear attached. Even in the audience I could see the relating fear in women's faces but men are like, not getting it entirely.

When she talked about her sister Kourtney, that was so real that made me cry 🥺

As someone who was drugged and sexually assaulted by a close friend of 5 years, last year...it never gets “ok”. I cried with her. Even though, thank God, she wasn’t ra*ed, the feeling of being that vulnerable and exposed and well...assaulted...it stays with you. That fear touches your heart, even if only for a little bit, when you talk or think about it. For her to mentally say “prepare yourself. This is gonna happen” is just so so strong of her. In the moment, the shock, the fear, and the adrenaline you feel is just...almost overtaking and overwhelming. You can talk about it a thousand times and your heart and body will always, almost unwillingly, feel that rush even if for just a second. She gets a lot of hate but she really is just another person. She feels what we feel even if surrounded by money and glam. Edit: Thank you all so much for your sweet and encouraging words. It’s a hush hush subject for most people but it feels so relieving to know other people get it and support one another in this way.

I once thought that too. They have an angel in the spiritual realm and he doesn’t play about his family. Robert Kardashian is always w them and always protecting them. I know he was covering his baby. And when it’s not your time, it’s just your time. And it was DEFINITELY not her time. And when you Google one of the guys that was apart of the robbery, I didn’t know this until recently, but he actually wrote a book about that night. Someone published it and everything for him. The concierge did the right thing taking them to her with the key. His life is just as valuable as hers. If he didn't these men could've killed him taken the keys and tried all of them and could've killed her as well just because there was already one dead person. Not always but I pray for those who experience this around the world to find healing.

When my brother passed, my mom found his body. It pains me to think of the trauma she holds from that day. Sometimes when depression takes me to that dark place where I just wanna give up, I think, I can’t put my mom through finding another one of her children like that again. I really felt what Kim was saying.

Kendall Jenner is all plastic. She was plain Jane before all the plastic surgieries. I like Kim... She's my favorite Kardashian. I even like her more than I like the Jenners. Kourtney is too difficult sometimes, Khloe I like her too but not as much as Kim, Kendall is hot headed and she lets things get in between her emotions too much, and Kylie I just never pay attention to her other than her Cosmetic Business. Kim was the one that I like the most because of how hard work she is and she is inspiring too.

I don’t follow her at all but I do love her sense of humour during the thing of the story & how she’s brave enough to relive it every time she talks about it. She’s an amazing woman!

The respect I feel towards this woman in the last few years is insurmountable. Say what you want about this family - I can see genuine love and care for each other in their eyes.

I have the same thoughts of "why am I crying, Ive talked about this before". When you're in a life or death situation your body freezes out your emotions to keep you going and then it takes a lot of going back there in your head to finally release all of the fear and hurt of the moment so that you can talk about it without crying and feeling emotionally like you are back there.

I thought it was fake at first. Then I kept hearing her tell it the same way and not change anything around. Why I thought it was fake was because there are so many hoaxes out there where celebrities change their story around every time so I’m sorry that I ever thought it was fake.

Being attacked in any way it terrifying. I felt sad for her when it happened. I was appalled that people thought she made it up.

This brought me to tears, and imagine having your situation belittle all because of your social status. no one should go through this

You guys realize how many people have actual PTSD after being in similar situation. I'm in awe at the fact that she won't let this control her life and made changes, but stayed true to herself.

I saw this picture talking about how her body language, dressing, and how she handles her kids outside of the house changed after this, and I looked through some pictures and noticed it too. She really is scarred for life...

When she talks about Kourtney, I can't help but ball my eyes out & my heart just drops...thank God Kim is still alive. What a scary moment in life that would F me up, that's for sure. People underestimate Kim, but underneath everything that you may see on the outside or in their TV show, she's a really strong person and very smart and professional with a huge heart.

Broke my heart listening to her tell her story. Definitely changed her forever, but in the best ways.
