Actually whoever have a heart for peace will say this about Nepal. I was overwhelmed by the beauty and hospitality I experienced in Nepal the first time I visited decades ago. I still feel the same every year I visit. Out fo the handful countries I've seen so far, Nepal is the best to me. The world is moving towards industrialization so fast, I hope Nepali people conserves their nature from the pollutions of so called development. I wish I was born here, at least at the end of the day one just need a peaceful place to sleep. I'm a foreigner but "maan ta mero Nepali ho". 🙏

Hallo Tobi! What an inspiring video. Grüße aus Neuseeland I see you have fallen in love with Nepal, Nepali people and Nepali culture. I had this experience 42 years ago when I first visited in 1982. I was there again in March last year for 3 months and will return in September for my 10th visit and also stay for 3 months. On my first few visits back in the 1980s I stayed in a house very similar to yours in a village in Dhading district in Bagmati province about an hour's drive from Kathmandu, and then a 30 minute walk uphill to the village of Fogatpur. The traditional style house was made of stone and mud walls, thatched grass roof, rammed earth floor, no electricity, no running water, (it had to be carried every day from a mountain spring about 2km away), no glass in the windows, no gas to cook on- just a fire in the corner of the downstairs room. At night the small animals slept in the downstairs room and the Nepali family and me slept on the floor upstairs. The view in the morning was not to the Annapurna mountains and Machhapuchhre like your view but it was across the hilltops of the valley filled with rice fields and farms and village houses to a small view of the Himalayas in the far distance. I felt I was in heaven. 🙂. Looking forward to following your Nepali life vlog. Jai Nepal 🙏

Finally someone spoke my heart and mind out. Peoples have been taught to run behind money but what for has not been taught. isn't the end goal is to live free and happy life. I am glad that i have decided to move back soon. I have to go Nepal at-least once a year to stay in sane mind. The world has become profit over people and its only going to get worse. So if any Nepali living abroad reading this comment after their long and hard day be honest and ask yourself is this what you wanted and even if you earned millions how will you enjoy having no one by your side, no culture, festivals and celebrations all you had back. Life is short journey so make choices before you realised you have spent it all without realising.

Indeed. Words of wisdom.. I guess most Nepali know what are you talking about but our own government is the oppressor and downer of this great country. They should have built the infrastructure for the younger generation but they never thought about the future generation, all they cared about is their pocket economy and greed. It is frustrating for younger people who has so much potential but have to lose your confident because of the government Bull crap. Unfortunately and eventually our youth have to get out of Nepal. Everyone is hoping and waiting to see better Nepal tomorrow. I hope it arrives sooner.
