I have been trying to cooperate this into my loc maintenance routine. I consider myself a semi free former… I go 3 months without retwist and I am finding my hairs grow away from locs in the front and on top where the hair is a more finer texture.I think this technique works well for me! Thank you for the informative video, as always.

That's for this, I started out natural dread, 4 years and then I started twisting them. I don't like to retwist often, and my locs started thinning (7 years and some are past my bra strap now,). I just learned about my new growth growing away from my locs. I pop my locs in the shower when I rinse out my conditioner. I can't wait to try this. 🙏🏾 For sharing. Love your Locs

Hi! Thanks so much for your support and i am pleased to know that the vids have influenced you in your own journey. I do not re-twist my locs anymore. From Nov. 2020 to May 2021 i used to retwist my locs about every month to 3 months. However, after May 2021 i never retwisted again and thats when i started semi-freeforming. Since then, for maintenance I braid my mew growth into my locs. I either do that or two-strand twist locs without retwisting or palm rolling. Thanks for your question!

Ahhhh, good question. I currently only do two styles with mine: either rope twists or half up, half down. I am not great at doing any updos just because I like low-tension hairstyles and my hair isn’t long enough to do too many updos with low tension. My biggest advice would be accessorize. You could always do a headwrap style. Those are always very elegant to me

You can try the braiding method or the retwist method. It all depends on what works best for you

Please why shouldn’t you go to sleep with your loc wet/damp? Also I love your locs. I’m 5 months in and my locs are as thick as yours and I love it. You’re gorgeous

I have heard that sleeping with wet/damps locs can #1 flatten them put and two if they aren't dry then they can develop mold in them and also a smell. I don't know what else there is to know about that, but that's what I've learned thus far.

Why not just crochet it back into your loc? It easier and more permanent.

I didn’t like the feeling of breaking through one loc to fit the other loc through. It felt like I was weakening the ends of my locs by doing the crochet method because of what the crochet hook does
