I used these for weddings and portraits, I had several lenses from 80mm to the 250mm. It was great for shooting closeups of rings ect. I used the 135mm for many portraits

I too have the 65mm. It isn't the blue dot, but it is as great mild-wide lens. My C3 came with the 80mm, but I almost never use it. I got a 105 and it almost never leaves my camera. My favorite thing about the Mamiya system is being able to change focal lengths. Solid video, thanks for sharing.

On my Hasselblad 501 CM I sometimes use the 60 mm Distagon from Zeiss for portraits. The lens is very good, but you have to be careful not to distort perspective if you are too close to the model or photographed from too steep an angle. Very beautiful video.

Beautiful shots with the Mamiya... fond memories of shooting with it back in the day. For me, it was too heavy for hand held shooting but still ranks among my all time favorite film cams !

Fabulous - thank you for confusing me... I've got GAS and am contemplating the Mitakon 65 1.4 for my Fuji GFX... and contemplating the Mamiya 645 (I have an excellent 80 2.8 N). But now I'm wondering if it makes more sense to do the Mitakon lens and get the less expensive C330, which I was looking at yesterday. Dang - what an excellent shoot and images you got with the C330! Great job!

hello! I have the 80mm 2.8 lens. Is it a good option to buy the 65mm or is there barely a difference?

Surprisingly, the 65 is enough wider to include more of the enviroment behind the subject and still have nice bokeh at 3.5 for great enviromental portraits. way more useful than the 80. the 105 is great for half body shots with plenty of background blur, and also compact and light!

Hey bro... Mamiya C33o, did you use the 65mm scale for better exposure, or is that not really necessary?

A few nice shots but over all a bit lame. I would recommend the 105 or 135 mm lens even the 180 mm.

What is lame about this? The shots were very nice and well balanced, and the point of the video was to show the 65mm, so why recommend other lenses? I never reply to comments but I found this comment to be particularly frustrating.

These pictures are kind of sad, this is showcasing excessive daydrinking. And not even fun drinks and giggles but red wine an straight faces. I guess it's all fun and games but it's a thin line to a depressive relationship, surpressed trauma etc. I think these picture tell more than you want them to.

I do not think so. I think the photographer didn't want to show the love for alcohol, rather the wine glass in the model's hand was an accessory. Sometimes it's better to think of the obvious than to read too much into it.
