the flowery language is from shakespear. he is what he said but if everything is run on contracts, who has his? unless Oberon himself has some reason for helping you then watch your back. he won't be doing anything unless he gains something or it amuses him greatly... possibly both. ain't kids cute? mine have the flue right now. i hope they smooth this out in the future.

The flowery language is also incorrect. It reads off. I get it, you need to make it intelligible to people today, but there is no excuse for trying to imitate the style and still confusing entire words, so even people who do have the literary context are confused by what they read. If I read folly, but folly doesn't make sense, however toil would, i'm pretty sure it's not my limited understanding of the language that makes me think so...

It would be totally fine with me, if the phrasing would be a straight simplification (but it's not, if it would be, 'wilt' would have been just 'will', since that shift already started to happen at Shakespeare's time). The phrasing is an erratic, inconsistent mess, that's the issue. It only reads as literature for someone who doesn't remember their literature classes. They intended to go the extra mile to sound fancy and stopped at 1000 yards.

Nice, starting up from scratch again after the new updates, went from Conan to this, pretty exiting, allot of busywork with crafting enhancements 😅

The Devs need to realize that if many different types of things don't stack (such as fibers and leathers..), they must let containers hold more. I would like an in-depth explanation of the Cards: Are some permanent and some only temporary? Are they like potions, or are they abilities you are selecting as you build a character in game? Also it seems they have actually made "mods" already to use in the game by allowing you to change the worlds - are those also permanent?

We’ll get to make bigger storage containers but yeah there are a ton of different types of materials. The cards are permanent t once played unless you turn it off or replace it with a different one. When you open a portal you choose the biome and the characteristics of the world using a major cards. That stays until you choose to close the portal. The minor cards change the word you are in and stay that way until you choose to either turn off your change or replace it with a different minor card. It’s kind of a cool way to customize the gameplay a bit.

@CrypticFox Great playthrough video! Audio and video quality are great and good explanations when and where they are needed. Some thoughts....: Servers: Can't say as I'm not in the official loop (I have worked in "the could / web servers" for over 10 years) but it's more than likely each instance of a game is not on a separate server (piece of hardware) and more than likely a droplet (virtual server) sharing a single device with multiple others. If planned properly this should™ not create a bottleneck but it could. Possible there are issues with how the game and servers are presently handling (or not handling) lost packets of data combined with insufficient network load balancing (ex. system assigning too many accounts / packets to a single device when others are available). Game: Disappointed to hear that the world limits you to having 300 or less built components in a world and that resources do not respawn (clear a forest and it is gone) as the base building was what originally attracted me to the game. Know part of the game is about moving on to new locales/biomes but I like the Idea of picking a place and just being there for an extended time if I choose to without feeling forced out and the idea of spending a month or more in a one area building an entire town is appealing to me. Definitely looks pretty enough visually. Not a huge fan of the "fantasy" wildlife being tie-dyed color versions of deer etc. (if it's going to be a strange color maybe make a new type of creature altogether) but it's a minor gripe. Combat looks simplistic but I think that may be a fair design idea as making it overly complex might alienate potential buyers and restrict sales potential. Partially biased on this as I am looking more for a builder and less combat personally. Very much looks to have potential and definitely considering picking it up though I have concerns of this game not getting updates and support in line with my own expectations. For all the troubles you encountered in this video you left me with a positive outlook overall.

Yeah I meant virtual server instance for each realm that is opened. At least that's how the dev's explained it. They're using Google cloud for the servers they're using. I got DC'd a lot the first night while I was playing but they pushed an update in the morning and I didn't have any issues tonight. I haven't built anything big enough yet to know whatthe 350 piece limit feels like in terms of build scale, but it's something that was raised by some other creators with the devs so we'll see what happens :)

Even if we ignore the online only issues, the combat in Nightingale is clunky, the UI is really unintuitive, and the inventory management is dated and horrible. I was also looking forward to it, but when I hit my 4th crash in 90 minutes, I just refunded it, and really hope they get it together in the future. They weren't working on it knowing what was up with Palworld or Enshrouded, but as you mentioned it should at least targeting to be comparable to Icarus, which as of yesterday was around 75% and Steam reviews had Nightingale around 53%. Icarus had better combat on day one, and it has improved over time. I am sure it will get better, but they volunteered for the network code to be broken, and there should probably be a price for that. I say volunteered because when you see the online requirement even the big boys don't do that correctly. Error 37 was in 2012.

Not only that, but no local servers, so online only.

A friend of mine has been tracking the game, super excited to play it he refunded it at the 2hr mark but it had nothing to do with server issue's just pure gameplay issue's or lack of.

@@boomshanka4667 Yeah its a challenge I think a lot of early access games face. The game isn't fully baked, so there are still some design and implementation questions that need to be resolved I think. Expectations coming in I think were high because of what a lot of people hoped it would be which I think is an added challenge. They seem to be a really engaged team though so I'm sure they'll incorporate feedback and make game adjustments :)

I see this game as Valheim with better environment and deeper story. Would you call Valheim a bad game now? Don't think so. Nightingale has issues with interface, huge inventory and combat. Still a solid 6/10+. More if you like the setup and adventure. Also consider it's early access. We have had stellar Early Access by Palworld and Enshrouded lately and this obviously isn't as polished. It was clear before the early release just watching YT. It doesn't make the game bad though and I do hope developers will be able to iron out most issues. 14h, still playing. But then I'm the last gen that red books as kids.

20min in tells me every thing i need to know about this game not to buy having it online only is stupid on there part ill wait for once human

@@CrypticFoxGaming Probably for the better. I was kind of fine with their servers at first. Whatever... But yesterday I got image scrambling level issues a few times and occasional immersion ruining lags during combat too. Also once you progress further, portals become significant part of the game and those loading times... if only I was a smoker. Other than that my impression over the game has actually improved. It does unfold further. But then not all will reach that stage nor appreciate path.

Get rid of cable and get real internet your daughters dont need the corruption of Cable

@@jamc0714 I just turn them on and KZread handles the placement. I don't go through every video and choose the placement for potential ads, nor do I choose which ads are played or how long the ads are that run.
