fyi - a lichen exists because of a symbiotic relationship between an alga, a fungus and the air. A lichen has no interest in the plant juices of your tree. It is merely attached to the tree but does not parasitize living plant cells. That is simply not true. Some lichens are indicators of clean air and I love that they want to attach to my trees, plus, it makes them look older. I encourage you to investigate the science of my statement, plenty info online. I urge you to open your mind and learn to love lichen...such a lovely sagey grey-green. Nice tour! Love your handmade containers.

This seems to be very aggressive lichen around here I’ve seen dead birch trees smothered in it just wanted to give this one a fresh start thanks for the comment cheers
