I learned from MoKnowsHair that we should either condition or deep condition. One or the other. Deep conditioners are best for type 3 and 4 hair. Regular conditioners better for type 1 and 2, although those hair type can also benefit from regular deep conditioning. Regular conditioners actually start to seal the hair making deep conditioners less effective. When I started only deep conditioning after shampooing I saw a big difference in my hair for the better. That’s probably why you don’t like regular conditioners 😆😁

For the longest time, my protein "deep conditioner" was a light protein conditioner. It's never failed me. I only started using a deep conditioner/mask for my protein because I wanted something more intense. I'm type 4 too. One size doesn't fit all. In fact, multiple sizes can fit one.

I definitely think that depends on the person. I have type 3B and 3C hair and I pre-poo with oil but my hair is always too matted to detangle at that point unless I want to take a couple hours which I don’t. So I shampoo, and then use conditioner just to detangle, and then I still deep condition. And it’s done great for my hair. I find if I go straight from the shampoo to deep conditioner they nine times out of 10 don’t have enough slip for me to detangle.

I absolutely love going straight to deep treatments from my shampoo. My pre poo is actually my pre detangle with a spray leave in detangler. It costs my strands, add moisture, and gives some luster before cleansing. Leave ins applied in the shower is bae. And a thick cream allow it to dry some and then apply my stylers and I’m good 🥰

Recognizing that my specific head of hair is different from hers and I'm merely months into growing my hair out, it's reassuring knowing I've got similar products and a routine that's identical to someone who's had such fabulous results. Genetics in mind, I hope my hair also reaches its maximum length. Definitely picked up some tips and gonna try some of those products!

I have red hair so I have to include a color depositing shampoo or conditioner I love curl dynasty, the LCO and aloe pre poo I’ve been growing my aloe big enough to add it in my routine . I’m in Arizona and my natural hair gets so dry however deep conditioner/ masks make my hair feel like new. You would love the RAWSugar healing power mask it’s so amazing ! @@Jess-ew3tm they require more manipulation to maintain for some people, so they're not worth it. For example for some people it's low manipulation because they can go for like 10 days. Me, I had to be washing and brushing and detangling every 2 days because the properties of my hair don't let these styles last (too fine), so I do other styles that work as low manipulation for me

I have very fine hair so I think the hibiscus fusion would be best for me. I’ve even tried doing natural oils but they seem to only sit on top of my hair and not soak into my hair. Trying to find what oils would work best for my hair type. I love all of the recommendations that you’ve provided. Thank you so much for sharing this information.

I traded in my olive oil eco for the eco gold. I prefer the gold for wash n go’s and styling, but it’s only so so for slicking down hair for buns and such. I just bought the wet line xtreme because I wanted to finally see what’s up lol.

@@ShaniqueBuntyn Thank you! I bookmarked the site and set a reminder for myself. I currently use the non-metal scrunchies, but they aren’t silk/satin, so a bit of my hair does get stuck on it when I use them during wash day.

I always thought that conditioners and leave in conditions were the same thing😂. I deep condition with normal conditioner and I never knew you had to seal your hair with some type of oil that will help so much because my hair gets so dry the next day 😭. Nice video 👍

I was told if you put a plastic cap on your head and add heat or sit under a dryer the regular conditioner becomes a deep conditioner because the heat opens the cuticle and allows the conditioner to penetrate deeper.

I use the same shampoo with the Leave in. I did a perm bc my natural hair was falling out, I now know it was growing faster and I could not cut it or maintain it. It still grows faster with the perm. I just put it in real quick and rinse out. I have cut it and now it is growing. I will be going back natural

I hate blow-drying my hair but it's the only way I can avoid single strand knots. I've tried stretching my hair without heat but it never works properly so I end up having to apply heat.

I have low porosity fine hair, so true stick to what your hair loves, that’s what I need to do! Conditioners, don’t do nothing to my hair either, I have to find what my hair likes, I need moisture and something that hydrates my hair, because my hair is always dry!❤️
