My native plant garden looks a mess. Let’s fix it up a bit.

A quick overview of my California native plant garden in October of its third year.
In this video I try to answer the question how do I control invasive grasses with minimal effort? I put down some weed barrier along the fence line and add mulch. It’s a start!
Plants included in this video are gracias sage, starlight sage, dr. Hurd manzanita, Winifred Gilman sage, bees bliss sage, white sage, boutaloua “blonde ambition”, purple needle grass, deer grass, desert globe mallow, celestial blue sage, brandegee’s sage, Sierra monkey flower, hummingbird sage, holly leaf red berry, California redbud, dark star ceanothus, and coyote mint. All plants are year 2 or 3.
This is a continuing documentation of my attempt to grow low-water, drought tolerant, attractive, and ecologically friendly plants in the Sierra Nevada foothills of central California.
