chanced upon this. nice! ranjit and the bands [waterfront, people, ultimatum] used to play at our college festival [school of architecture, ahmedabad] back in the early eighties. felt driven and edgy. made a deep impression. didn't hear much about him, till i saw 4th dimension in cal a few years ago. wow!! so cool :)

What a down to earth person.. Great to listen to Ranjit.. It was a pleasure to watch Ranjit play with AR Rahman at SSE Wembley Arena London on 8-07-17. I never seen a concert with 2 drummers at either ends of stage, well balanced. My heart was thumping good from the beginning. Woa! What a performance with AR Rahman.. Such a talented man.. i always wanted to hear from this man.I admire him so much. And true, he is the same as a person too, outstanding. Learnt a lot Ranjit sir. It will be a dream come true to learn under your shadow, witnessing the finer nuances of the experience and workmanship you have gained in your life. I have really admired your work in MTV Unplugged, which brought out your talent to the fullest. People like u is one of the many reasons i wish to migrate to mumbai leaving everything behind from where i am.
