I just bought the MPC X and the Roland JDXI. Couldn't wait on the MPC ONE anymore. Still getting the one as a backup for travel but the X and the Roland JDXI just seemed like the perfect marriage both with color scheme, sound and what you can do with them when connected via midi and audio. I also got the AT4050 condenser microphone, a Yamaha mg10xu mixer, and a Panasonic G85 4k camera. Kind of went on a bit of a spending spree this morning in the name of opening new opportunities.

Nice to see a person proud of their set up and really enthusiastic about how you have configured yours :)

Good rig...If you delve deeply into those synths and use the sampler to make your own sounds,it will be awesome...I have hardware samplers,and just sampling voices,found sounds,instead of just ripping records,gets insane...

Cool! Good work flow is the secret when going dawless and this looks realy great! And long live sticky notes :)

Can you make a video of recording your bass or guitar directly into the mpc x? I want to take the plunge on the mpc but I will only do so if I can use my guitar with it.

Nice simple set up 👍 I have the original Pulse I got in the 90s when they came out. I’m looking at getting the Akai MIDI Mix hooked into a USB port on my MPC X for controlling most of its parameters.

The extra buttons, knobs, inputs, and bigger screen seem to be be beneficial.

Audio Technica headphones are indeed great. Thx for the advice.

do you have the Yamahas directly pluged into the mpc x?

I would think with all the hook up on the X you would have it in controller mode I’m in controller mode all the meters are bouncing no sound I don’t know what is wrong.

Hey I know this might be a long shot but I seriously can’t figure this out and you seem like the right guy to ask. So I have a SAMSON G TRACK PRO condenser mic and the MPC X. I’m having issues picking up the audio and was wondering how you do it. I have it going from the mic to the MPC x with a 1/4 in TRS cable to the XLR yet it still won’t work. Any help is greatly appreciated

Would the set up b the same if using the roland integra i7 sound module with mpc live2 and force

Thanks for the comment. 2.4 will have the previous updates included in it. No need to install each one. The most current is 2.6.

Great set up. I would go for a mixer or a art voice channel. For the same reason but the mpc stock stuff is actually very good if it is used in certain ways. I didn't like them at first on mpc studio but realize the responses are full spectrum and not just spanning a certain sweet spot or knee range. How does the mic preamp sound?

Mic preamp sounds clear. I used it the other day to sketch out ideas. I opted out of using a mixer for now as this is a station to scratch out major ideas and I will be pulling the ideas into Ableton Live to mix.

Nice upgrade but My opinion The Force Does More than both.I Got Rid of my /mpc x for the force and Live. . But Your gonna be setup pretty swell by the time the next update 2.7 for the mpcx if your a ableton user...

Yeah. The Force is good. I have other plans for the force. It is a challenge trying to get used to sampling on the Force after using the mpc, the workflow isn't the same when you sample from vinyl. The Force has some major updates coming too. I do use ableton so the new update is welcome. 👍
