Thank you Miss Aurora Lim for ur comments😇m glad u tried it out n enjoyed with ur family. SORI audio not so good...It's a one n only attempt to video my mom's way of making Chinese Lumpia. My daughtr recorded it just for fun one Chinese New Year😇
Authentic ang dating. Pwedeng malaman kung saan makakabili ng fried seaweed na hinahalo sa lumpia?
That's how I remember making it. Cooking or sauteing 1 x 1 and into a big bowl, then make halo halo. Tedious work. That's y, I only make it on special occasion.

Galing mo idol mag luto ng Chinese lumpia. ❤️
Thanks! My amah in Manila used to make this at big family gatherings. Such wonderful food memories.
In fujian china, the main fillers for fresh spring rolls (fresh lumpia) are daikon radish, bamboo shoots, kohlrabi. Vietnam uses taro as filler. In the philippines, the main fillers are unripe papaya, ubod (core of upper stem of coconut tree), jicama, chayote, sweet potato, potato. Probably possible to use ube yam (dioscorea) as a filler. In the philippines, chinese lumpia can skip the main fillers in favor of more cabbage. In america, has many types of turnips that can probably be used as fillers.
Thank u for sharing. I grew up in Cebu looking forward to grocery shopping at Fooda just to eat chinese lumpia

Which Fooda is Cebu has Chinese Lumpia? There are several branches. Thank you!
what kind of wrapper did you use? Was it just plain lumpia wrapper?
More cooking please, thank you!
In quanzhou fujian china, fresh spring rolls (fresh lumpia) can include deep fried enteromorpha seaweed (hoti)(or use other seaweed like nori) and deep fried rice noodles or deep fried cellophane noodles for crunchiness. Can also include fried noodles inside the lumpia. Can also include fried sticky rice cake (similar to tikoy) inside the spring roll. In xiamen fujian china, sticky rice (cooked in soy sauce with mushrooms) can be included inside the lumpia.
You are a great cook and a very happy cook !

The background music is more louder than her voice? but I like all the ingredients she used for making lumpia! great !
I love her tip about sauteing the veggies individually. I'll definitely do that! Thanks a lot! Suggestion: think it's much better if you'll turn it off the background music because I love how you talk while you cook. Nakaka-goodvibes. I enjoyed it a lot. 😊👍

Thank you for your comment and taking time to do so😆that's why i said "my mother's chinese lumpia" it is just her way....we love garlic flavor and the ubod lumpia too...anyway these days recipes of different cuisines hav evolved, we find a fusion of cultures and/or cooking style or preference of the cook or diner.... in different dishes ... like example...original italianspaghetti has sour tomato sauce but Pinoy spaghetti is.sweeeèeeettt😆...so it is really up to u to stick to the orig or to modify😆i think it is becoz my family is half Chinese n Filipino already dats y it reflects in r cooking hehehe😆we are proudly Chinoy....but thank you so much for ur feed back.
