Prof. Plum: "What are you afraid of, a fate worse than death? Mrs. Peacock: "No, just death, isn't that enough?” So many great lines. Plus the physical comedy. Tim Curry and Madeline Kahn knock it out of the park, but every actor in this has great moments. Incredible ensemble. Great reaction, clearly enjoying the ride that is Clue!

Trivia time-if you go to a Ren Faire a lot of the ladies will wear low cut push up dresses. They are called “Pudding Cups “ by the people who go and dress up. This is another movie that didn’t do well in the theater but is going to live forever in the after market with fans.

One of the funniest dark mystery movies ever made! Based on the Parker Bros. Board Game. The scene where Madeline Kahn forgetting her lines was hilarious! "I hated her, so..much, flfflflf flames, flames on the sides of my face, breathes, heaving breaths, heaving breaths...." Lol!!

I absolutely adore this movie, it’s a comfort watch for me. My personal favorite cast member is Martin Mull. If you know his history then his approach to his jokes and lines become more silly and interesting. He toured with Steve Martin in the 70s, produced his own comedy albums, and attended RISD (an excellent private art school.) He is a contemporary artist of hyper realism paintings, and a lifelong musician. His introduction and the very first shot of his character is Colonial Mustard, “yanking a (your) chain.” Brilliantly silly and yet somehow still the straight man. Just a wonderful and completely amazing cast throughout. Thank you for watching it! ❤️😊🍿

The matchstick scene in the kitchen should be taught in acting classes. Every actor in that scene is 100% present. They act and react within the other characters so beautifully. You could dissect the whole thing for hours with how each and every one of them handled themselves there. Gorgeous.

My friends and I performed in a shadowcast of RHPS in the 90's and on Halloween there was a special performance of Clue (with my bff playing Yvette). I still remember some of the callbacks to Clue and I mentally repeat them almost reflexively every time I see the movie. Good times.

The six screen theater complex that I saw Clue at had each ending on a different screen. Each day they moved the reels so if you went back to see a different ending you may or may not get an ending you had already seen. The chaos was the fun.

Fun reaction. Such a great cast. I also recommend “Murder By Death,” a similar spoof of famous detectives with a murder in an old mansion. It also stars Eileen Brennan and an all-star cast led by Peter Sellers, Maggie Smith, David Niven, Peter Falk, James Cromwell and several others. Not as slapstick as “Clue,” but a hilarious screenplay by Neil Simon.

I saw this movie at age 9, and strangely I happened to get most of the jokes. And it was a joke a minute. I was already in love with the board game that I didn't know how to play very well, but I loved a good murder mystery. So, after my first time seeing it, I watched it another 90 times in my youth over the years. A true masterpiece of comedy. Sadly, for some modern viewers, some of it may not have aged well. Some people are very touchy over a lot these days, well, more like "touched". Yes, it might be wrong, but in this movie - for all intents and purposes - it's funny.

I was about in 4th or 5th grade when this was released on vhs. I saw it at my after-school childcare of all places and loved it so much. All us kids used to act it out. 😅 I begged for it for Christmas and got it…. And proceeded to watch it so much and quote along with it so much that my parents put it up on a molding above the bedroom door for months (where all the items we were “grounded” from would wind up). I eventually got it back and at 45 still have that old vhs.

I actually saw this in the theater as a kid and we got the 2nd ending. It didn't do too well in theaters, but definitely gained a following from VHS rentals and frequent repetition on cable. I feel like Madeline Kahn and Christopher Lloyd were underused a little, but this is still my favorite Tim Curry performance. Side note: Lee Ving as Mr. Body is interesting casting. As an old 80s skate punk I'll still blast some old FEAR now and then.

This is a childhood favorite, even as a kid. I appreciate all that this film has to offer: the cast, script, gags, everything. I'm a fan of the board game, so naturally I gravitated towards this film. I showed it to friends and family over the years as a lot of people I knew never saw this. It may have done poor in theaters but it has gained that legendary cult following. I hope Hollywood leaves this one alone. Really enjoyed your review, well done. "I'M NOT SHOUTING! Alright I am, I'M SHOUTING, I'M SHOUTING, I'M SHOUTING, I'M SHOUT...*thunk*" 😂😂😂

When you bought your ticket to see this movie you'd get a letter A, B or C so you'd know which ending you were seeing. Having the different endings was a great marketing ploy. You'd want to go to different theaters to see the different endings. Eventually they combined the endings to what you saw for this reaction. Great seeing your reaction to this fun movie!

This is one of my favorite movies. I even made a one person recreation of this movie a few years ago, with added silly scenes. Such as Tim having a split personality/aka Pennywise the clown he later played, and Wadsworth was also Frank-N-Furter, and the motorist I name Brad. While Mrs. White's first husband was "Old Zipperneck" from Young Frankenstein. Peacock also dated an archaeologist named Jones, before marrying the senator, as if she is Willy Scott from "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", explaining the monkey's brains reference. I tried to sprinkle little moments like that through the "Review, Reactions & Recreations", while recreating all my favorite scenes. I mention the additional 4th ending, but there is an animated version of the 4th ending on the documentary "Who Done It: The Clue Documentary". It is pretty good, and even shows the director buying the matte paintings that were used in the film.
