Kyouki (狂気) means insanity in Japanese. Right before the drop, it actually says 狂気へようこそ, or "welcome to madness" in Japanese. It's removed in the LDM.

Now that I think about it Abyss of Darkness is probably the only level where you would instantly understand why it's named like that in the whole top 10, except for maybe slaughterhouse

In Greek Mythology, the Acheron river from the outside leads to the entrance of the underworld, which is another name for Tartarus. Thereafter, the river is technically named "Tartarean Acheron" because Acheron is now in Tartarus - so it makes sense that Acheron is a sequel to Tartarus in the game: that being said, this could also give rise to potential top extreme demon names, such as Lethe, Cocytus, Styx, and Phlegethon - the other four river of Tartarus, because Acheron makes the fifth. Also, keeping on top of the mythology, Avernus (the level) is named after Lake Avernus in Italy, which has gained reputation for its gloomy and infernal fields surrounding the lake, also deemed as another entrance to Tartarus - or the underworld. In fact, in the level, the lake itself is in the endscreen. Hope this helps :)

Acheron actually comes from Greek mythology and is one of Hades’ five rivers, this one the river of pain, woe and lost souls. 👻 Also, Avernus is the ancient name for one of the volcanic craters near Cuma, Italy. 🌋 Adding on, clubstep is a sub genre of dubstep music with smoother baselines and electro-jabs, and is said to be better for the dance floor. 🕺 👇100 likes and I’ll explain the other names :))

Like for Avernus which means "the gate to the underworld" in Greek, Zodiac because of the ending screen, Edge of Destiny cuz remake of Blade of Justice & Kyouki which just means "insanity" Really good video though, loved her reactions & creativity 😂
