My mom saw all of the comments and she texted me this to share with everyone. “My goodness. I love the tour too!! However it now has an up to date ambience. Washer and dryer in place pantry loaded,refrigerator in place, welcoming twin bed, futon that opens to full bed, comfortable recliner, and television. Talk about a blessed mom!! I am thrilled 😄 “

I could very easily live in a tiny house like that, I hope she's comfortable and happy when she settles in.

I love this perfect little house! We had acreage for a few decades and my Mum lived there in a small house (we were in the main house) while my kids were growing up. What a wonderful thing it was to have Gramma right there in their lives every day. Your Mum is a treasure ~ I can tell by this short vid.

She has six kids. Nearly all of us call her almost every day. She’s been great to us as well. We are very fortunate.

Like it but would like living area a little bigger…. enough room for a table and 4 chairs and a couch and a recliner. Also, doorway into bedroom would be difficult to maneuver a wheelchair they way closet is placed. Great idea though.

That's looking really good. I love the pantry & closet. It's so nice to make a place just for her, but on your property, so you can be close in case she has a need. I like the idea of a loft. Either that or one of those plastic, weather proof sheds with some shelving for some seasonal decorations & other storage she might need.

Lovely,great size,interior..just a great house,.I would like to add these suggestions..(and I realize you did not ask my opinion)...if you keep the ramp...be sure to put railing up in both sides..get rid of the rolling stool that is in the kitchen.Seniors should consider "downsizing"and in particular to one level Mom is great and so is the family! Congrats!😊👍👌🙏

You are absolutely right. Safety is the highest priority for the elderly and I am one. In my community, we have health and safety checks every 6 months to determine if we have progressive difficulties in our home. If so, things are added. This month, I know I need a grab rail in the shower room. I'm no longer able to climb a tall ladder safely. I now need a window cleaner. I live in a 4 room cottage. 🎉

They have plans to build her a deck outside the door eventually. She is now sleeping in it (she couldn’t wait) and has her refrigerator and washer and dryer installed… etc. they’re making progress. What a great blessing… she’s living her best life and is so happy. God bless them all.

It was a builder in North Texas that does these houses and small batches. My sister liked how solid they were made.

My mother couldn’t take care of a 1500 square-foot house all by yourself anymore. This house she can manage now. And right next to her is a really big house so she can go over and visit grandkids. So, I don’t really sure what’s bothering you. What’s worse is when you are moving into a place and have no one and are all alone. I will say that I kind of feel what you’re feeling though. I have a friend who is investing in RV parks for a reason and making a lot of money. Everybody’s moving into small houses and RVs because of the economy. On the other hand, maybe we’ve been too materialistic all these years? Who knows. And it’s always scary when you realize one of these days we’re not gonna be able to pull out of it. The end is coming for all of us not to be negative, but we have to make peace with old age and death sometime. .

This living space does not look safe to me. We just had a wicked storm here the other day, 80 mile per hour wind gusts, looks to me like it would be blown away. I would not want to be the person weathering a storm in it.
