That was actually really dangerous. Oh Daniel Gore/blood: A classmate of a friend's snorted sugar as a joke and it cut up his nose and hurt badly. Apparently if it went higher could've been really bad...ah, hope Daniel is okay man 😬😶🙃

I love how the bomb usually contains 90% books and 10% weird stuff but the second your mum came on, it was full of weird and/or kinky stuff :'D Also, read the Ice Planet Barbarians, it will change your life. To the worse. Fyi, Walter Moers is one of the nicest German fantasy writers. Full of his own illustrations and the stories are really cool, especially his world building (Captain Bluebeard is also featured in a German kids show and I'd say, he's one of the icons of my childhood :D). I honestly don't know how his stories come across in English though.

10:30 The 13 1/2 lives of Captain Bluebear (Die 13 1/2 Leben des Käpt'n Blaubär) is a rather popular fantasy novel from Germany. Even though the novel isn't primarily aimed at children, Bluebear himself used to be very beloved by German kids due him appearing in and gaining a lot of popularity from a children's TV show. Would definitely recommend giving it a read.

I loved the Käpt'n Blaubär cassetes as a kid and always saw the book on our bookshelf at home and when I would ask my mom about it, she always said, that the book is nothing like the cassetes, I knew and I'd probably not like it. Oh boy was she wrong. It's probably my most read and listened to book ever. Read it 4 times and listened to the audiobook (read by Dirk Bach) like at least 10 times. I really love Walter Moers as a writer. His worlds are so colourful, it's amazing. City of dreaming books is also a master class in german writing. He's probably the best german fantasy author within the last decade in my mind. I really hope, Daniel will give it a read (though I have no idea how good it translates into English. As a German I have of course only read the German version)

Hero academia is good, its just a shounen so , it can get dark but its still , its fun and decent. And really good writing. Especially when he builds up the darker stuff while being tengaging and fun, in the superhero class stuff till its darker and . He has a good balance. But its not blame dark.

Its not dexter, it about a teenager and dexter didnt invent nor is the most influence in the genre, thats probably hanibal. I am pretty sure its more psychological refined than dexter too.

It's insane how much joy this channel has brought me since I found it. When I saw this pop up I got so excited! Thanks for all the entertainment and the best anxiety remedy for me. What I love about these segments is the generosity on display. I'm sure it must all be really overwhelming and strange to receive, but I'm guessing that most of these people don't often have the chance to share their love of sf/fantasy IRL. Seeing the books that have been meaningful to people is really heartwarming and my too read pile only grows larger. Plus, most of the artists who send stuff in are so talented!

Just want to say this is super wholesome, and reminds me of whenever I finish a good book and then spend the next three days over-explaining the plot to my mother knowing that she has no idea what I'm saying.

6:44 I do actually recommend that you read Skulduggery Pleasant! You probably get this a lot, but I think it’s really good, especially after the first few books, when it really gets going.

@@deadsoon Yeah, not the best look, Oda probably isn't very knowledgeable about or much intrested in Africa, judging that all inspiration for One Piece locations so far were either European, Asian or Amerindian, but he could have probably done better than just say Africa. Fans debate about what part of Africa Oda meant since Ussop is fairly pale for a African, popular guesses are North African and South African for obviously reasons.

He literally based a whole arc on Egypt and has many characters based on famous Moroccan and South African people Guess you aren't knowledgeable in Africa to know this. And Ussop is based on middle African countries not North African

Ooooh the 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear ♥. It's a german fantasy novel that regularly gets compared to Pratchett stuff (probably because they are both surreal comedy fantasy books). Highly recommend it to any Pratchett fan who is looking for something similar yet different from Discworld. Most Notable it is strictly not humanocentric fantasy.
