My Model Y is Tinted and Protected!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
One thing I will always do to my car moving forward is tint and protect them with paint protection film. Dynamic Tint has done a great job with my cars and I can't thank them enough! Enjoy the video!

It seems like you are in the medical field so hopefully this analogy will be useful. The charge level on a Tesla is akin to blood pressure in a human being. It is good to have blood pressure as low as possible, without being symptomatic, for people and their long-term health. For a Tesla if it is plugged in and charged up as much as it needs to be for your daily commuting, and no more, that is a happy Tesla. I'm not sure there is a material difference between charging it up to 50% and 75 or even 85%. So long as it works for your range needs throughout the day and you're not discharging it to one or 0% by the end of your commuting for the day then it is probably just fine. Also, those batteries are warrantied for quite a number of years and distance and designed to last quite a bit longer so if you keep that car for between 3 and 500,000 mi you likely won't have any issues. I'm not sure of the current publicly available data but last time I knew the average was somewhere around 10% battery degradation after 2 to 300,000 mi. Ain't too shabby. And that's a relatively decent size pile of data where people are treating their batteries from as best they possibly can to the worst people will treat them and everywhere in between. If you are generally relaxed about it and just charge it up to what you need everyday then that should be just fine. Hopefully you can survive off of 85 to 90% charge. Plus, all of that data is from the original and relatively early build batteries that are 5 to 8 years old now. Basically the bottom line is they're still going strong and there are minimal issues. Enjoy.
It’s a sad world when you have to explain your humor! 😩😂🤷🏻♂️ ... We enjoy your humor, fight on! 🇺🇸👊🏼👍🏼

Great video, just what I was looking for regarding paint protection and tint for when my Model 3 gets here at the end of the month. Even better is that I also am in the East Valley so Dynamic tint is just a short drive from home, great recommendation!
Did you ppf the entire MY and did you tint the glass roof as well with clear 70%? In Florida- so we have the heat! Thank you.
Hey nice video. Dynamic did a nice job, any recommendations for somewhere in SoCal?
Are the MY factory rear windows privacy glass or tint? Do they provide UV protection?
Sent over to Tyler. Now to get the quote for my blue Model Y for the PPF and ceramic coat
Man, your Tesla looks just insane
Hey Ben! 👋🏼 I just dropped DREAMYY (white 2021 Model Y) off to Tyler this morning and can’t wait to pick her up on Monday. I let him know I saw your video - thank you for the recommendation…love your channel!!! 🤩

Funny thing. I notice on our 23 MY the passenger side pillar is misaligned as well.
I love your dry humor. You definitely get a pass just like comedians.
Bro, you give me the vibes of the main character from "You" also, do you know what you paid and what discounts to they give? I'm shopping around since this stuff is so expensive
Did you add additional heat rejection to the roof? Do you think it's needed or is the stock roof tint good enough with rejecting heat?

@@Gjeebs Yep, I test drove both and the Long Range AWD rides smoother than the Performance due to the higher suspension, and isn't so prone to pothole damage. Seeing the rims all dented up on the test drive model was all I needed to see. Other than the acceleration, the performance seems like a downgrade, and the acceleration on the AWD LR is already quite good. I'd probably buy the performance software option if they add it in the future, but it's definitely not necessary.

Ah yes, the Tesla vs Ford comparison. I’m a big Ford fan. Always have been. I think of Tesla as more of a boutique brand. Whenever I go into a boutique shop that has lots of hand crafted items, they’re all so beautiful but clearly not made by a professional. That’s Tesla. LOL. They have great ideas, and a clear vision of what they want, but actual execution isn’t quite there yet. It’s almost there and I can prove it. Take a survey of every Tesla owner you know, and 95% will say that the defects weren’t a deal breaker. The car is so amazing that you just put up with the little things and let the service center take care of it later. Once they nail down the slight imperfections, the car will be perfect! Same for Ford, but the opposite concept. Fit and finish is great, but they need an all electric power train with high performance and long lasting batteries. It’ll eventually happen for both companies.
@tanzanable

With all the visible defects that so many Teslas have these days from out of the factory, I worry about internal invisible defects beneath the exterior that can't be seen. The workmanship just isn't there. The good news is that apparently, the China factory is producing zero defect cars. Is the problem cultural? Are California, USA workers not as disciplined and/or with lower standards than their Chinese counterparts?
@BecauseTesla
3 жыл бұрын
@@tanzanable Trust me, if there were a bunch of internal invisible defects, we Tesla owners would have found them by now, and it would be in all the news headlines. From what I've seen the defects have just been surface cosmetic things that can be fixed. As far as cultural differences...I would need more data from both factories to make a judgement call or form an opinion, but that's definitely a good point that you make and should be investigated.
