The backsplash on screen reflects the colors coming in the window / blue and green and make the space look bigger. It was a wonderful design choice. Take a picture from a distance and see what I mean. Paint the cupboards above white

I have totally changed my mind on carpet. I am desperate to put some cushy,soft carpeting in my bedroom. It is, interesting enough, beginning to come back in style. Which gives us all more options. Your home is beautiful and very much the style I gravitate towards. It really reflects what we know of you, which is fantastic! Thank you for the tour,I just love it!

Em, congratulations 🎊 on all your endeavors. Life just keeps unfolding before our eyes. Quick non-permanent suggestion: pivot the couch 🛋 and the t.v. in front of the fire place for right now. What I mean is. . . the chaise of couch would be next to left side of wall. Left of the fire place. The t.v. is easy to move so you can finagle it really however you want. Also by pivoting the couch, it'll bring some separation to the space. Try it and see how that feels 🤷🏾‍♀️. Take care.

We actually tried that set up as well, my Husband liked it but I didn't like how the couch had to be shoved against the wall still only to give about 2 feet of space on the end. I also didn't like how it cut you off from the view. The couch I think in general is just too big for the space :-(

I think your living room is perfect as it is maybe you can add a mirror above the couch to reflect the outside light for ambience but other than that I think it's perfect

Your house is an inspiration to me! Thank you for sharing. Regarding the table, could you not make it work for a few more years until the twins are a little older. Having little ones is hard on furniture and waiting may increase the longevity of your next table. Just a thought.

Love your home! I’d prefer the kitchen backsplash as a floor in a half bath. Too busy for me in a kitchen.

Just a thought..have you seen House of Valentina? She uses exactly the colors you like. She lived in Denmark (I believe) and she loves using high/low, IKEA ideas bc of the minimalism. She has ideas on couches, so give her channel a listen,she is YOUR esthetic!!

I would argue that the backsplash adds depth to your kitchen. The pattern is not overdone and looks really good in your kitchen. I'm a minimalist. I don't think that the backsplash needs to be replaced. It'll be interesting to see how you change it. Congrats on your twins! Do you know the genders?

They all live in his Bedroom, I didn't show because I'm trying to keep his privacy in my videos. And then he has a few drawers in the basement he keeps some toys when he plays down there. If he plays in the LR he brings his toys down and then puts them back in his bedroom when finished.
