Kate is a good daughter, sister and overall person. She had trauma with her parents not giving her attention (sometimes people have taumas with this that they feel they are not wanted or something), and when she met Lola she loved her and looked up to her and Lola hurt her. Kate was such good sister for searching for her sister and not even waiting for an apology from Lola. She just wanted to be friends and good sisters with Lola again. Kate is such a wonderful character (one of my favs)❤️

Lola was pretty much pissed off at Kate's parents and wanted to get back at them, but after getting to know Kate and her family better, she eventually realized how wrong she was, especially since Kate had always seen Lola as an actual sister. And I'm glad the protagonist understood and forgave. Reminds me of misha and Neil.

And they do so because they have a family to feed and companies don't care enough to put limits on how much their employees work or pay them a better wage. As a middle child, I am at both end of the coin. When my older sister (4y older) became more mature, I didn't have much to share with her but I still got a lot of stuff with my little sister. Then, I slowly grew more in common with the older one and less with the little one. She'd often complain she had no one to play with. People change, life changes and we just have to adjust our pace.

Kate really is a good daughter and a good sister. Despite everything she had been through with her parents and Lola, she still managed to be happy, positive, and forgiving, especially to Lola for what she did. Also I think Kate can relate to Lola a bit. I mean, even though both her parents are alive, they are always busy and have neglected her. They might as well be dead to her.

I feel sorry to what Kate’s parents did to Lola’s father that caused his health problem, but all she wanted to do was to make her feel like she’s apart of kates family with enough love and attention instead making Lola feel like a charity work to her.
